The Wigan Borough (King Street/Rodney Street, Wigan)
(Prohibition of Loading/Unloading) Order 1993
The effect of the Order is to introduce no loading/unloading at any
time on the following lengths of road:
(i) King Street, north-east side, from Riverway to a point of IS
metres north-west of Rodney Street.
(ii) Rodney Street, both sides, from King Street to Millgate.
Copies of the Orders and of the relevant maps, may be inspected
at the New Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan, between 9 a.m. and
4.30 p.m. on any day from Monday to Friday.
Any person who desires to question the validity of the Orders or
any provision contained therein on the ground
(a) that it is not within the powers of section 1 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984; or
(b) that any requirement of the said section 1, or of Part IE of
Schedule 9 to the said Act, or of any regulations made under the
said Part III of Schedule 9, has not been complied with,
may within 6 weeks of 28th June 1993, make application for the
purpose to the High Court.

WIGAN METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Wigan Borough (Crossgill, Astley) (Prohibition of Waiting)
Order 1993
Notice is hereby given that the Wigan Borough Council, in excercise
of the powers under section 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Crossgill, Astley)
(Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1993.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions to
apply at all times on the west side of Crossgill from a point 10 metres
south of The Hillock for a distance of 20 metres in a southerly
direction.
there will be limited exceptions permitting vehicles to wait
(a) to enable people to board or alight;
(b) for the purpose of building and similar operations, removing
obstructions to traffic, road works and works by statutory
undertakers;
(c) for local authority, North West Water Ltd. and Post Office
purposes;
(d) if the vehicles are fire service or police vehicles or ambulances;
(e) to take on fuel, water or air at any garage; or
(0 for the delivery or collection of goods and for loading or
unloading.
A copy of the proposed Order, and of the relevant map, and of a
statement of the reasons for proposing to make the Order, and of the
Orders to be revoked, may be inspected at the New Town Hall,
Library Street, Wigan, and at District Office, Atherton, between 9
a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on any day from Monday to Friday.
Any objections to the Order must be made in writing and specify
the grounds thereof and must be made to the Borough Solicitor, New
Hall, Library Street, Wigan, not later than 6th August 1993.

The Wigan Borough (Warrington Road/Poolstock Lane, Wigan)
(Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1993
The effect of the Order is to introduce no waiting at any time on
the following lengths of road.
(i) Warrington Road, Wigan, east side, from a point 30 metres
north of Poolstock Lane to the boundary line of Nos. 642-642A
Warrington Road.
(ii) Poolstock Lane, Wigan, north side, from its junction with
Warrington Road for a distance of 60 metres in an easterly
direction.
(iii) Poolstock Lane, Wigan, south side, from its junction with
Warrington Road to its junction with Marus Avenue.
The Wigan Borough (Amendment to the Lancashire County Council)
(Various Roads, Ince-in-Makerfield) (Traffic Regulation) (Order
1974) Order 1993.
The effect of the Order is to remove one-way working on the
following lengths of road:
(i) Sephton Street, from its junction with Christopher Street to its
junction with Laburnum Avenue, in a north-easterly direction.
(ii) Laburnum Avenue, from its junction with Sephton Street to its
junction with Woodlands Avenue, in a south-easterly direction.
(iii) Woodlands Avenue, from its junction with Laburnum
Avenue to its junction with Christopher Street, in a south-
easterly direction.
Copies of the Orders and of the relevant Maps may be inspected
at the New Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan between 9 a.m. and
4.30 p.m. on any day from Monday to Friday.
Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or
any provision contained therein on the ground:

ZOO LICENSING ACT 1981
We, M. A. Eydmann and D. Lee of The Park Aquarium* hereby give
notice that in not less than two months after the publication of this
notice we intend to make an application to the Lancaster City
Council for a licence to operate a proposed zoo (Public Aquarium)
at Happy Mount Park, Marine Road East, Morecambe, Lancashire.
A written notice of the intention to make application for a zoo
licence, giving details about the proposed zoo (Aquarium), has been
sent to the said Council. This may be inspected, free of charge, at the
offices of the Council at Lancaster Town Hall, Dalton Square,
Lancaster LAI 1PJ, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4.30 p.m.

SEDGEFEELD DISTRICT COUNCIL
PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS & CONSERVATION AREAS) ACT 1990
Bishop Middleham Conservation Area
Sedgefield Conservation Area
Notice is hereby given that Sedgefield District Council has
determined to amend the boundaries of the conservation areas of
Bishop Middleham and Sedgefield as described in the Schedule
below. A conservation area is an area of special architectural or
historic interest, the character or appearance of which it is desirable
to preserve or enhance.
The designation of the areas as conservation areas means that
buildings within the conservation area may not be demolished
without the consent of Sedgefield District Council, and trees within
the areas may not be cut down, topped, lopped, uprooted or wilfully
damaged in any way without the consent of Sedgefield District
Council. Planning applications for development which are
considered by Sedgefield District Council to affect the character or
appearance of the conservation area will be subject to public
consultation and any representations received will be taken into
account before the applications are determined.
Maps showing the boundaries of the conservation areas as
amended may be inspected free of charge during normal office hours
at the Council Offices, Green Lane, Spennymoor. Further
information may be otained from the Director of Planning &
Technical Services at the address below.
