JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

JOB TITLE : PROJECT MANAGER

LOCATION : ETIMAAD HOUSE

PURPOSE : This Job Accountabilities describes the duties and


responsibilities of Project Manager.

SCOPE : This Job Accountabilities shall apply to anyone who is


assigned to this position.

REPORTING TO : MANAGER PLANT SERVICES

CONCEPT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for all aspects of successful project completion and ensures remedial
measures are taken well in time.
Single point contact between ETIMAAD and Customer.
Possesses requisite decision making authority to manage the activities of all internal
establishments involved in the successful completion of the Project.
Sourcing of resources both within and outside ETIMAAD is his responsibility for which he
utilizes the support of BSs as well as outside agencies directly or through BSs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. TIMELY COMPLETION:
Ensures Project completion within specified time and budget.

2. CUSTOMER HANDLING:
Deals with Customer in a manner that enhances their trust in the Company.

3. INTERPRETATION OF CONTRACT:
Interprets the Project contract in a manner that enhances their trust in the Company.

4. SUBCONTRACTS:
Issues subcontracts where necessary as per financial authority limits.

5. TECHNICAL BACKUP:

Ensures requisite technical back up to the site team.

6. COORDINATION:

Ensures good working relationships amongst all the disciplines involved in the project.

7. CASH FLOW:

Manages the cash flow to achieve better result than forecasted.

8. WORKING CAPITAL:

Controls working capital requirement by monitoring stores inventory value, work in


progress, payable and receivable.

9. COST MONITORING:

To prepare budget and control expenses related to project execution and monitor cost
of the project as per budget allocation.

10. FINANCIAL LIMITS:

Can sanction expenses as stipulated in the FEWS for the project.

11. INVOICING:

Timely submission of accurate invoices and follows up of receivable.

12. PLANNING AND SCHEDULING:

Responsible for making the initial plans as well as continuous revisions if necessary of
the original plan with the help of the Manager Planning.

13. RESOURCE MOBILIZATION:

Ensures backup of timely availability and mobilization of manpower, equipment and


plants.

14. PROCUREMENT & STORES:

Ensures timely availability of essential material at site and exercise good material
management at site.

15. EXECUTION METHODOLOGY:

Ensures execution of the project in accordance with approved methodology and safe
manner.

16. INCENTIVES:
Ensures incentive only as an effective tool to increase project efficiency and
profitability.

17. UTILIZATION:
Setting up a proper establishment at site i.e. placement of competent personnel well
versed with Company systems and control procedures. He is responsible for effective
utilization of the support function of the following BSs:

Finance
EPAM
HRM & Administration
Material Services i.e. Procurement & Stores.

18. QA & QC PROCEDURES:

Ensures that specifications of QA & QC Procedures are according to the specified


quality to be delivered and are followed meticulously.

19. HRD:
Ensures that qualified manpower is hired or trained.

20. HSE PROCEDURES:


Ensures that HSE procedures are fully implemented & religiously followed.

21. PROGRESS MEASUREMENT:


Ensures timely submission of updated progress report to the Customer.

22. CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS:


To handle customer complaints on priority and responds in a manner to maintain
desired level of comfort of the customer and coordinate with BD/BSs, if necessary to
resolve the problems.

23. Takes ownership of companys core and operating values, Quality Policy
& HSE Policy.
