Allergens

Overview

The Allergens function in X3 allows tracking of manufactured products whose components have been
identified with one of the following common food Allergens:

E Egg F Fish M Milk N Tree Nuts P Peanut S Shellfish W Wheat S Soy

In addition, numerous user-defined Product Constraints may be created and applied at either the
manufactured or component product level.

An Allergens Rollup function is also available. This function may be used to re-set the allergens field on
the selected manufactured product(s) by retrieving the allergens from all components (all levels) of the
products primary BOM.

The Allergens Rollup function may be run on demand from the menu, or from the Bill of Material function.
When run from the menu, a product range may be entered. When run from the Bill of Material function,
the current BOM Product has the Rollup performed.

Setup
Parameter Value

To ensure the Allergens functionality is active, in addition to activity code XA22, parameter XALLERGEN
should also be set to Yes under the GPA parameters. Under the ADMIN menu, this parameter can be
