Abstract :T he A ug mented lag rang ian method w as used i n t he dy namic optimal desi gn o f large
vibrating screen t o confirm the best po siti on of reinfo rcing rib o n the si de plate , and t he lo wer
dy namic stress w it h t he least number of reinfo rcing ribs w as achieved .T he result s show that
the alg orit hmic prog ramme i s of a f aster convergent speed and a hi ghe r solving precisio n w it h
an augment ed lag rangian met hod w hi ch is m ore suit able f or the optimizat ion t han penalty f unc-
tion method .Af te r st ruct ure opti mizatio n , the weight of side plate w as reduced by 3 .
