DATA COMMUNICATION

1 What is Data Communication?

Data communications refers to the transmission of this digital data between two or more computers and a computer
network or data network is a telecommunications network that allows computers to exchange data.

2- What are necessary components for Data Communication?

3- What is network and networking?

4- What are signals? Types of signals?

5- What are nodes?

6 What is mode of Data communication? Types of DC Mode and how it works?

7 What is network Architecture? Types of Network Architecture?
Network architecture is the design of a communication network. It is a framework for the specification of a network's
physical components and their functional organization and configuration, its operational principles and procedures, as
well as data formats.

Peer-to-peer architecture (P2P architecture) is a commonly used computer networking architecture in which each
workstation, or node, has the same capabilities and responsibilities. It is often compared and contrasted to the classic
client/server architecture, in which some computers are dedicated to serving others.

Client-server architecture (client/server) is a network architecture in which each computer or process on the network is
either a client or a server. Servers are powerful computers or processes dedicated to managing disk drives (file servers),
printers (print servers), or network traffic (network servers ).

8 What are Topologies? How many types of topologies in networking have? What are
functions of all topologies have?
A network topology is the arrangement of a network, including its nodes and connecting lines. There are two ways of
defining network geometry: the physical topology and the logical (or signal) topology.
9- How many types of network are in Computer world?
10 What is networking devices and types of networking devices with their functioning?
A computer network is basically a group of multiple networking devices connected together for data sharing. Collectively
networking devices have single purpose securely transfer data as fast as they can. To achieve this goal every
networking device has its own functionality.
11 What is transmission medium? How many types of transmission mediums are
available ?
Transmission media is a pathway that carries the information from sender to receiver. We use different
types of cables or waves to transmit data. Data is transmitted normally through electrical or electromagnetic
signals.
11 What is network addressing? How many types of addressing are in network?
A network address is an identifier for a node or network interface of a
telecommunications network.

Network addresses are often designed to be unique across the network, although some networks allow for local
or private addresses that may not be unique.

More than one type of network address may be used in any one network.
