The Process of
Inheriting the
Promise Land

Dear Brother / Sister, Gree ngs to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. First, would like to wish you and
the family a very blesses, healthy & Christ Centric New Year!!!
Im very excited to be sharing a word from God in this edi on of Manna for your Soul. It is truly a privilege to
share Gods word with you and Im humbled by his love. In this edi on we will meditate on how the Gods children are
pruned before they inherit Promise Land as found in Joshua 5.
This incident which we read in Joshua chapters 5 is about a group of farmers, the genera on that was stuck in
the wilderness. These are not the ones who witnessed the miracles of the Lord, one a er another in the wilderness. It was
sad, that this genera on who saw signs and wonders did not believe the Lord and hence could not enter the Promised Land
but they only got to see it. On the other hand this present genera on, born in the wilderness was not prepared for the
ba le that was before them. Though I have read the Jericho wall incident many mes I had many ques ons as to why this
city was conquered in such a manner. This is the only city where they walked around and the walls came tumbling down
and they inherited the Promised Land. Why did this genera on move to a dierent dimension and see a unique work of
God? Why did God have to bring them to Gilgal before they inherited the Promised Land?
In the last month's edi on the Lord had promised that you will inherit the Promised Land and the Jericho wall
before you will be brought down. But before that, the Lord wants to set right certain things in your life before you inherit
your promises. Here is Joshua who is leading a group of farmers. Right before them is this wall around the Jericho city. It
was so strong and wide that chariots used to ride atop. These farmers were not technically trained nor had any war skills.
Some mes in our lives too we come to a point where the door is open right before us but we have no skills and do not
know how to move in. We get a job and we nd that that we do not have the skills needed to perform the work. This is
where God proves that He is God and the skill sets cannot take you into the Promised Land. It happens so that you need
Him and know that His plans are much above human intelligence or thought-process. Even here, God wanted to show to
this genera on that He is God. But it was important that He sets right certain things rst. On the other side is the enemy,
absolutely strong and much above their comprehension. God says at this point that everyone should be circumcised. Even
as it is, they are not in a posi on to ght but why this added pain? In the Old Testament, circumcision meant bearing the
mark of Christ on our body. It is not a covenant, but a sign of the covenant. It all began with Abraham. It indicated the
ones segregated and were on a covenant with God. In the New Testament, it is equivalent to Bap sm.
What is circumcision meant to do? To get rid of the unwanted lth of esh, the esh that has no reproductory
power. This process is extremely painful but it is the removal of the esh that is useless. There are certain absolutely useless
things in our lives that we need to get rid of. When we try to get rid of these, it is extremely painful. Many are addicted to
habits which they nd very dicult to get rid of. Only God can help you to get rid of them before you inherit your promises.
These may be habits or a man or a woman or a thought which is preven ng you from moving into your promised
land. Many mes we wonder why there is no progress in our family, our job, our life. It is clear that God wants you to get
rid of that lth of esh before he performs a miracle. Make sure you do that today I would also like to highlight some
important about circumcision in the Bible. During the Old Testament mes it was the father who performed this circumci-
sion on his son. It was done on the male child when he was 8 days old. Even if the forefathers were alive, it was the father

who did this. The forefathers did not perform circumcision. There could be certain things that should have been done by
our parents but they could have failed to do so. So we come to a point where the past is pulling us from the des ny that is
before us. But God was mindful of this genera on so he sent Joshua to perform this in their lives. The same God will send
a Joshua to perform this in your life as well. God is sure to show up at the right me and He has certain protocols. He is
so mindful of them and He Himself intervened at the right me. The same way, God is mindful of you, watching your life.
If He decides to do something in your life, no power can stop HIM and you can be sure that he will send a Joshua to lead
you into your promised land.
What should have happened at 8 days of age, is now happening when they are about 30 years old. When you
are young, it is easy to get rid of certain things but as you get older, the same things become very dicult. It is very im-
portant for us to set right certain things during the early stages of our life else it will become very dicult to set it right
as we grow old. The Bible says that Joshua performed circumcision on the en re genera on and brought them to Gilgal.
Gilgal means circle and that was the reason why God brings them here and asks them to get rid of the lth of their esh.
Another important point here is that Gilgal was their last stop before entering the Promised Land. In your life too, you
are at the last stop before inheri ng your blessing. Unless you get rid of the unwanted things in your life, you cannot pos-
sess the Promised Land. This was a turning point in the lives of this genera on and when you get rid of every unwanted
thing it will be a turning point for you too The Bible also says that the Lord took an oath about the previous genera on
that they will not inherit the Promised Land. Many mes we want to please many people - those at church or ministry or
family or friends or colleagues at workplace. We do not realise that if we do not please God, He will not do anything for
you. This revela on struck me so deep that I promised to God that I will never again please people. I had to confess to the
Lord that many mes I have tried to please people, which I know He disliked. My Dear Brother / Sister, no ma er who is
on your side, if God is not on your side, things will never happen. It is alright if someone leaves you, as long as God is on
your side. If God closes a door, it is closed. No one can open it for you. You need Gods favour. It is very important that you
get rid of certain things in your life. And make sure you have Gods favour. When things are absolutely impossible, God
will open a door. If God is against you, nobody can be for you. But if He is for you, even if the whole world is against you,
He will move you into your promised land.
Now one more thing fascinated me about our Lord and that was he is always mindful of the pain we are going
through. Joshua now circumcised the people and this is an extremely painful procedure. God was very mindful of the
pain they going through and He is mindful of the painful situa on you are in as well. God knew that they were hur ng
and cannot go to war. So He orchestrated it in such a way that He just opened up the Jericho wall and made them walk
through. Because He is mindful of His people, He does certain things that are beyond human comprehension. Instead of
preparing for the ba le he tells them to walk around the wall everyday for six days and the seventh day he asks them to
walk around it seven mes. God knows how much you can do; He knows how much capability is in you. Many mes we
let our friends or family to counsel us. But here Joshua gets Gods counsel. Though there is pain on one side, there is Gods
counsel on the other side.
So, by this me, they have completed about 70% of the process needed to enter the Promised Land and they are
ready to move in. But even in such pain, God expected them to walk. They are not supposed to sit and get into a shell. We
do many things such as: hiding ourselves; dont go to church; dont pray. We begin to talk ill of God because it is hur ng
and paining. Here God teaches us that we must move forward even in pain. Some of us are stuck in pain and do not want
to come out because of it. This can be pain due to job loss or of someone who le or childs life or any such thing. Many
who are talented do not come out because they are in pain. It is the scheme of the devil. The devil is a liar. He will create
an illusion that you are doomed, and everything is over. But I am here to challenge you that you must move forward.
Even in this pain, this group is moving forward. God tells Joshua See I have given this king and this kingdom
into your hands. He tells Joshua to rst see it. Unless your spiritual eyes are open, you cannot see what you are about to
inherit.
At Michigan, when I stayed with a friend of mine for approx 3 years, he was puzzled looking at me si ng with
my eyes closed for long hours. Once he asked me Why? He knew that I preach the Word of God. I told him when I close
my eyes and look up to God, I can see Gods promises to me. But when I open my eyes there is absolutely nothing in front
of me! I want to con nue to see the vision God gives me. Unless you see, you cannot inherit.

When this ministry was started in NJ there was not even one family that I knew in this area. However God had
showed me all the places that He would give me to minister. Today if I have to take stock God has introduced about 300 +
families in and around NJ! How is it possible in two years? I did not know anyone earlier but because I could see through
my spiritual eyes he is making it happen.. You too should rst see the Promised Land and only then can you inherit it
In chapter 5, when circumcision was completed and the passover was over, they began to taste the fruit of the
land. That day, the manna from heaven stopped. God had just given a foretaste of the things to come. He will give you a
foretaste of the blessings he is going to give you and some mes the place where He is going to take you to etc. Everything
that happens does so with a reason. There are many things that the Lord will show you. But you must be alert in your
spirit to catch this. Every me I travel from Mexico to NJ for the Day of Deliverance I nd it dicult in many ways but every
me I read this chapter I know that he is giving a foretaste of the things to come. I do not crib but instead I thank God for
the wonderful foretaste He gives me each me. In your life too it is very important to catch these sights. You should never
cry or crib about certain situa ons. Everything happens with a reason; every person you bump into comes with a reason.
God has chosen you and you must see where you are going. Before God takes to your des ny, He will give you signs and
will show you details.
Now the Bible also says that the day they began to taste the fruits of the Promised Land the manna stopped
falling from heaven. Some mes in our life we get very disappointed when some blessing stops. We dont realise that there
is something be er that God has placed before us and inorder to inherit this new blessing we must let go of the old one.
Today, you could be very dejected and depressed that you lost your job or the person you loved dearly le you or people
you trusted cheated on you.. Let me share a good news to you that the Lord has kept something be er which is right
before you and soon it shall be yours..
The last point that I would like to elaborate is that the Israelites had to take a trumpet along with them while
they walked around the Jericho wall which shows that you must rst praise God before you inherit your promises. These
days we thank God only for the blessings received. We thank God only when everything is right. But, before your Jericho
walls come down, you must learn to blow your trumpets for God. Then the Lord says get the priests to blow the trumpets.
Why the priests and not any other? There are certain things that God will do only through certain designated persons. We
wage war thinking we are equipped. Many want to do something for the Lord. So they run and do certain things without
knowing the repercussions. It is not that anyone cannot go and do certain things and God will not protect them. But God
has designated certain people to do certain things. For example, some electrical problem like ligh ng can be done by any-
one reading through manuals. But beyond a certain point, only a technically qualied electrician can work on it. Similarly,
some carpentry work on the furniture can be xed at home by anyone with the available gadgets, but beyond a certain
point, only a carpenter can work on it. In the same way, when we want to do certain things there are some things which
we can read the manual and do by experience or by listening to someone. But beyond a certain point, God can use
only certain designated people to do certain things. Why only some are ourishing in the ministry and ourishing in the
church? First of all we must nd out if we are called to do this job? Just because we have the ability or money or me we
cannot do ministry. God will of course bless but God has to call you rst and then equip you. Only when you synchronise
with His plan, you will see Gods supernatural work in your ministry / Church. If you are truly called by God, He will use
you in a tremendous way..
I would also like to highlight some of the important points inorder to help you get to the core of the message:
You must get rid of the lth of the esh before entering the Promised Land.
You have to have fellowship with God so that He can speak to you and give you counsel.
Understand that God will give you a foretaste of how your des ny is going to be.
God will stop some blessings to make sure that you reap the fruits that are set before you.
Learn to see your blessings with your spiritual eyes and only then you can obtain it.
Find out your call, whether you are called for this par cular task.
