Psalm 145:1-13
I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever. I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you
forever. Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness. Let each generation tell its children of
your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power. I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful miracles.
Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will proclaim your greatness. Everyone will share the story of your wonderful
goodness; they will sing with joy about your righteousness. The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled
with unfailing love. The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation. All of your works will thank you,
Lord, and your faithful followers will praise you. They will speak of the glory of your kingdom; they will give examples of your
power. They will tell about your mighty deeds and about the majesty and glory of your reign. For your kingdom is an everlasting
kingdom. You rule throughout all generations.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21
17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 18All this is from God,
who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19that God was reconciling the
world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of
reconciliation. 20We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We
implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him
we might become the righteousness of God.

Hebrews 7:23-26
23Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office; 24but because
Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. 25Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God
through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

26Such a high priest meets our needone who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the
heavens. 27Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and
then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself. 28For the law
appoints as high priests men who are weak; but the oath, which came after the law, appointed the Son, who has been
made perfect forever.

Romans 5:17-21
For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is Gods wonderful grace and his gift of
righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ. Yes, Adams one
sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christs one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life
for everyone. Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will
be made righteous. Gods law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more,
Gods wonderful grace became more abundant. So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now Gods
wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Philippians 3:7-9
I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. Yes,
everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have
discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him. I no longer
count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For Gods
way of making us right with himself depends on faith.

Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of
honor at Gods right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life
is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.

Psalm 84:1-2; 10-12

1 How lovely is your dwelling place,
Lord Almighty!
2 My soul yearns, even faints,
for the courts of the Lord;
my heart and my flesh cry out
for the living God.
10 Better is one day in your courts
than a thousand elsewhere;
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
the Lord bestows favor and honor;
no good thing does he withhold
from those whose walk is blameless.
12 Lord Almighty,
blessed is the one who trusts in you.

Romans 3:23-26
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of Gods glorious standard. Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we
are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the
sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This
sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, for he was
looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for
he himself is fair and just, and he declares sinners to be right in his sight when they believe in Jesus.

Ephesians 2:1-18
Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world,
obeying the devilthe commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse
to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very
nature we were subject to Gods anger, just like everyone else.

But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when
he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by Gods grace that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along
with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in
all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us
who are united with Christ Jesus.

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you cant take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a
reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are Gods masterpiece. He has created us
anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Dont forget that you Gentiles used to be outsiders. You were called uncircumcised heathens by the Jews, who were proud
of their circumcision, even though it affected only their bodies and not their hearts. In those days you were living apart from
Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had
made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope. But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once
you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.

For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross,
he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and
regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups. Together
as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was
put to death.

He brought this Good News of peace to you Gentiles who were far away from him, and peace to the Jews who were near. Now
all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.

This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So we
are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. But
if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son,
cleanses us from all sin.

Psalm 95:1-7
Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving
and extol him with music and song.
3 For the Lord is the great God,
the great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth,
and the mountain peaks belong to him.
5 The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands formed the dry land.
6 Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;
7 for he is our God
and we are the people of his pasture,
the flock under his care.

Ephesians 3:14-21
When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.
I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then
Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into Gods love and keep
you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all Gods people should, how wide, how long, how
high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully.
Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God,
who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.

Psalm 40:1-5
I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair,
out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new
song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in
the Lord. Oh, the joys of those who trust the Lord, who have no confidence in the proud or in those who worship idols.
O Lord my God, you have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no
equal. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them.

Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds
the power of deaththat is, the deviland free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. For surely
it is not angels he helps, but Abraham's descendants. For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in
order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the
sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

1 John 4:15-18
If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love
God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us
so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love. But
perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

1 Corinthians 2:6-10
We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age,
who are coming to nothing. No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for
our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the
Lord of glory. However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared
for those who love him"but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of
God.

Mark 8:34-38
Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and
take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the
gospel will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? Or what can a man give in
exchange for his soul? If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will
be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels."

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd;
I have all that I need.
He lets me rest in green meadows;
he leads me beside peaceful streams.
He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths,
bringing honor to his name.
Even when I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
protect and comfort me.
You prepare a feast for me
in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil.
My cup overflows with blessings.
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
forever.

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it againrejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do.
Remember, the Lord is coming soon.

Dont worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
Then you will experience Gods peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and
minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure,
and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Psalm 63:1-5
1 You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you,
In a dry and parched land where there is no water.
2 I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.
3 Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
4 I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.
5 I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

Ephesians 2:1-10
As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this
world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also
lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we
were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with
Christ even when we were dead in transgressionsit is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with
Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the
incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been
saved, through faithand this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast. For we
are Gods handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the
street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go

Romans 8:31-39
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not
spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, wont he also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God
has chosen for his own? No onefor God himself has given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? No
onefor Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at Gods right hand,
pleading for us.

Can anything ever separate us from Christs love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or
are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? No, despite all these things, overwhelming
victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from Gods love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,
neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrownot even the powers of hell can separate us from Gods love.
No power in the sky above or in the earth belowindeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the
love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Psalm 146
Praise the Lord! Let all that I am praise the Lord. I will praise the Lord as long as I live. I will sing praises to my God
with my dying breath. Dont put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there. When they breathe
their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them. But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as
their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God. He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps
every promise forever. He gives justice to the oppressed and food to the hungry. The Lord frees the prisoners. The Lord
opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly. The Lord protects
the foreigners among us. He cares for the orphans and widows, but he frustrates the plans of the wicked. The Lord will
reign forever. He will be your God, O Jerusalem, throughout the generations.

Luke 15:3-7
So Jesus told them this story: If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Wont he leave
the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? And when he has found
it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors,
saying, Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep. In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost
sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and havent strayed away!

1 John 1:1-3
See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to
this world dont recognize that we are Gods children because they dont know him. Dear friends, we are already Gods
children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him,
for we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.

The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it upon the seas and established
it upon the waters. Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a
pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. He will receive blessing from the LORD and
vindication from God his Savior. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob. Selah.
Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in. Who is he, this King of glory? The LORD Almightyhe is the King of glory.

Psalm 33:3-9
Sing a new song of praise to him;
play skillfully on the harp, and sing with joy.
For the word of the Lord holds true,
and we can trust everything he does.
He loves whatever is just and good;
the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.
The Lord merely spoke,
and the heavens were created.
He breathed the word,
and all the stars were born.
He assigned the sea its boundaries
and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs.
Let the whole world fear the Lord,
and let everyone stand in awe of him.
For when he spoke, the world began!
It appeared at his command.

Revelation 21:1-4
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there
was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared
as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, Look! Gods
dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself
will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or
mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
