2016 Pep Rally Script

Emcees: Davaughn Reid & Harleigh White


(DJ plays music as students enter and get seated!!)

Davaughn: Welcome to the 2016 HHS Pep Rally!!! I hope you are all ready to
show your school spirit! We have an awesome program for you this
afternoon.
Harleigh: Before we get started, please stand for the presentation of the
colors by the NJROTC Color Guard and the National Anthem performed by the
Concert Choir.
11:20:
Davaughn: Thank you Color Guard and concert choir.
- We are your DJs for today! (DJs introduce themselves.) Keep in mind
that our music today is just a taste of whats to come Saturday night at
the Homecoming Dance!

Harleigh: For Dollars for Dares the one that raised the most money was Mr.
Mullins who will be made over by blindfolded Mrs. Bloom!!!! Mr. Mullins, Mrs.
Bloom the floor is yours
Davaughn: Come on lets give Mrs. Bloom some encouragement!!
(Davaugh and Harleigh keep the crowd engaged by talking
periodically)

Davaughn: Lets have the following seniors come down to see who the
coolest senior is!

Davaughn: You guys will be standing in a tub of ice water! When youre ready
just climb on in! Well be checking on you momentarily.

then dance).

Harleigh: Now for a performance by our Varsity Cheerleaders! (Varsity does

Davaughn: And now to everyones favorite part of the pep rally THE
GAMES!!!
Harleigh: Our first game is Hungry Hippos!
Davaughn: Our contestants are
9th grade: Sarah Brown and Justin Miller
10th grade: Tripp Bagarus and Tommy Harris
11th grade: Luke Mullenhoff and Caleb Karbowsky
12th grade: Alec Holtkamp and Paul Rodiguez
Harleigh: Instructions-
Each team of two will be provided with a laundry basket and a
scooter. One member of the team needs to lay on their stomachs
on the scooter while the other team member will be holding their
feet to guide the person on the scooter where to go. The person
on the scooter will be handed a laundry basket which they will
use to collect the balls in the middle for their class. In the end we
will announce whoever has the most and WINS!!
Davaughn: That was fun! Lets giveem a hand!

Harleigh: Before we get to the next game, lets do a spirit check. Lets hear it
from the freshmen. Now the sophomores. Now the juniors. Now the
SENIORSSSS!!
Harleigh: Lets hear it for our class council organizations! These students are
responsible for the fabulous banners hanging in the gym today!
Davaughn: The winners of the banner contest are

Harleigh: Alright our next game is People scavenger hunt. The contestants
for this game are
o 9th grade: Cy Harwood
o 10th grade: Easton Cipressi
o 11th grade: Bryce Arnestin
o 12th grade: Brad Stephens
Davaughn: In this game you have 3 minutes to find these people in your
graduating class who fit the descriptions on this paper. The one who finds the
most in his class will win.
Harleigh: Ready.GO!!!
Davaughn: While we wait, we want to thank Ms. Rowder, the staff and
students for organizing a recycling contest between the classes as part of
our Green School Certification. HHS will be recertifying as a Green School
this spring! Lets all do our part to GO GREEN!
Harleigh: All classes did an awesome job of recycling so everyone's a
winner!!!
Davaughn: Back to the Scavenger Hunt...And the winner is
________________________!!!!!

Harleigh: Lets do our last spirit check! Freshmen! Sophomores! Juniors! And
lastly, our SENIORS!!!!
Harleigh: Thank you to all the classes, all the staff, administration, pep rally
staff and to everyone who participated!!! Especially our SGA and Mrs.
Hoetzlein for putting this all together!!
