DESCRIPTION AND OPINION ON THE MATCH

The match began with Russia to serve first, but they had nothing on Brazil
impeccable passes that ended in a score for Brazil. A pitiful bad pass-
reception on the part of the Russians ended in a new score for Brazil
.Determined to make another strong score Brazil serves and desperate
Russia attacks, struggling Brazilian players set and attack laboriously to
eventually end in a bad reception and a score for the Russians. Brazil
reserve, set and attack made Russia trying to chase down a ball, this
manoeuvre failing, Brazil scores again. Enraged Russians rush into three
new scores. Slowly, Brazilians found their feet, a score once but wild
Russians score three times again. Two Brazil scores made them momentarily
recover before the trainers comment halt. Then Russia backlashed, but the
failure of a dig had the outcome of three Brazil additional scores.
Interchange of scores left in the end Brazilians ahead of the Russians for 25
scores to 23.

Sending a message that they were from now on unstoppable, empowered

Brazilians, shining in spectacular moves, blocking and attacking at their
best, led throughout the second part of the match. In the second set with
the score evened at 15-15 Brazil put together a 4-point rally when Fabiana
scored with spike and ace followed by block of Thaiza against Goncharova
and spike by Natalia. Sheillas spike closed it 25-21.

Fearlessly blocking and hitting overhead passes the third set was Brazil
leaded as well. The tension was mounting by moments, so after some
Russian blocks, and scores, the haws eye was required. Three spikes in a
row by Fabiana followed by two aces by Sheilla and three spikes by Jaqueline
gave Brazil an 8-point lead after a 12-all score in the third set. Awesomely a
digging on both sides alternate. Frantically Russia attacked and score but
eventually unbeatable Brazilians took the victory for 25 scores to 21 for the
Russians with a big bomb by Natalia.

OPINION
In spite of the match being evenly fought in the first set, the victory went to
the Brazilians. The second set rooted the ways and confidence of the
Brazilians, leading to a new victory for them. Finally, the Russians tried to do
their best but, undermined their confidence, the Brazilians took the victory.
Not only was their victory due to hefty confidence but to superiority in
technique and Know-how. This resulted to be a very interesting match
because of the high skill of both teams, which showed us how difficult it is to
play on this kind of competitions against another professional team.
