Lesson Topic: Photography of Art: In this Module, students will learn how to photograph both 2D
and 3D artwork, in a variety of mediums, for both print and electronic documentation. Students
will use strategic skills to analyze artwork for creative, artistic, and clear representation of the
medium.
Learning Outcomes: (At least five outcomes using Blooms Taxonomy measureable verbs.)
1. Identify camera equipment, lighting and backdrops required for photography of a variety
art mediums
2. Analyze artwork and tools of photography for set up and execution of photography
3. Apply fundamentals of composition, color, and contrast to assist in visual comprehension
of artwork
4. Organize the images on a computer to identify raw, jpg, and edited images and maintain
organization
5. Evaluate image quality and develop basic editing skills for presentation of images and
present a collection of photographed artwork in a portfolio.
Identify the target audience: (Include the age and demographics of your learners.)
This class is geared towards men and women artists who have basic photography skills, age 18+,
of all backgrounds. Access to a digital camera, computer with photo editing software and USB
drive is required.
