In the play they show slavery to the women and an entertainment. The first
scene they have a tribe and the tribe has a King and his son is looking for a wife and
the girls are being competed for the kings son. The competition was so severe to
get the position of queen and they do their best to be chosen by the kings son. The
girl give a philter to the kings son in order the man will love her but the other girl
know that they philter and until they see the true love of the kings son and he
choose the right girl and they married and made a new King and Queen. On the
other scene the women was only a slave that only a servant to the Datu and they
follow on what the Datu say and want them to do. They give an entertainment
because thats the Datu want and they have no rights to suggest. The Datu select
the girls by his like and the girl he picks will be his own and the girl will give him an
entertainment according to him. They show that the gender is imbalanced and the
men have a rights and power compare to the women and the women are only a
servant to the men. This show the power of men and the impotent of women by
their rights and dignity.
