Time Instructional Procedures and Strategies

Beginning the Lesson:


o Teacher will greet and show them the flag of Nepal. Teacher will ask if they know
which country represents that flag.
o Teacher will give a brief introduction about her background.

o Teacher will then give each student a card where they have to write their names
and their favorite cartoon and decorate the card.
o Teacher will then introduce the traffic light concept. If there is an activity the
traffic light will be used. If the teacher shows the green light then it means the
students should start the work, if it is yellow it means the students need to hurry
and wrap up and if it is red then students need to stop their work.

Developing the Lesson:


- Teacher will now introduce the unit topic and also the lesson topic for the day.

- Teacher will start by asking questions. Teacher will write an object in the board
like pencil and will ask students what is pencil made up of. (Answers) teacher will
write another object on the board which is paper and will ask what it is made up
of. (answers)
10 - Teacher will then explain that the pencil is an object and the things that the pencil
min is made up of is the materials.
- Teacher will ask if they have questions or confusions.
- Teacher will group the students in four for activity.
- The activity: each pair will be given a chart paper containing four categories, and
pictures of objects. Each pair will glue the objects to their correct category.
- The categories are: metal, paper, wood, plastic.
- After the activity each pair will come up and show their chart paper and the other
students will grade them if they have done correctly or not.
- For the grading each pair will give a thumbs up if everything is correct and if one
20 things is also incorrect they will give thumbs down. If anybody gets thumbs down,
min they have to correct it again and show it to the class.
- *the idea is that everyone should get thumbs up.

Closing the Lesson:

- Collect their chart papers, clear the table.


- Reviewing the lesson again.
- Question answer time.
