General Overview
The Ryonet HotRoq Flash is a state of the art Quartz Flash, controlled by solid-state electronics
and includes features comparable to or surpassing those of other Quarts flash units that cost
thousands more per unit.

Ryonet Tip!
Proper flash curing is a combination of many different factors, including, but not limited to
garment type, distance between your print and the underside of the flash unit, temperature,
time, etc. Always setup with test prints/garments prior to full production. Make any necessary
adjustments to achieve the optimal flash result.

Warranty:
The Ryonet HotRoq Quartz Flash Single Phase flash comes with a full 3-year limited warranty
from the manufacture defect. This Warranty does not include consumable items such as lamps or
other items which are replaceable. Use of non-Ryonet quartz lamps voids any and all warranties.

Unit Overview:
1. Mobility:
Utilizing the permanently mounted rotating casters.

2. Stability & leveling:

The leveling feet are attached to each foot next to
the casters. Adjust both the front and rear to bring
caster off the ground. Once casters are removed from
the ground, adjust to level the unit with your press
pallet.

3. Height adjustment:
Height is adjustable from xx inches to xx inches with
the use of integrated adjustment knobs. Clockwise
rotation raises the flash height, counter clockwise
lowers the flash height.

Lamp installation:
The HotRoq Quartz Flash includes spring loaded
lamp holders. Insert one end of a zone lamp in a
lamp holder. Apply pressure to depress the lamp
holder. While depressed, align and insert the
opposing side of the lamp in the second lamp holder.
Ensure that the ceramic lamp end is centered with the
metal contact in each lamp holder.

Power connection:
Your HotRoq Quartz Flash comes with a pre-stripped
SOOJ cable, ready for application of an optional
disconnect plug. If you purchased your Quartz
Flash without the optional connector sent from
Ryonet, your electrician can install an after market
connector. Ensure that any plug used is UL rated for
a minimum of 50 Amps. The wire ends are prepared
at the factory with crimp on ferrules for a reliable
connection.

3
Drying zones:
There are three independently controllable drying
zones. These zones directly correlate with the physical
position of the three zone control switches. Any or all
zones may be used to provide adequate coverage
of your printed image. Note that if all zones are not
needed, turning off unnecessary zones will conserve
power consumption by 33.3 percent for each zone.

Manual pulse button:

To manually trigger a flash pulse, simply press the red
PULSE button located on the control surface of the
unit.

Pallet sensor:
The Quartz flash comes pre-wired with a pallet
sensor. This sensor can be located on either side of
the flash by securing it to the threaded mounting
location. The photoelectric sensor is pre-set from
the factory for most applications. This sensor is also
adjustable, should you find that the flash gets false
triggers, or does not trigger at all. Consult with a
Ryonet technical representative on how to adjust the
sensor using its adjustment screw.

4
Foot pedal:
The Quartz Flash comes pre-wired with a trigger
pedal. Some images, especially those with low mesh
counts and thick ink, such as white, may require a
second flash. This can be done by the flash actuating
with the pallet sensor initially, then a secondary cycle
can be actuated with a tap on the foot pedal.

Time:
The time is controlled via the rotary dial on the
control surface. Time is 0 10 seconds. Time is
increased by rotating the dial in a clockwise motion.

Temperature:
The temperature is actually the intensity level
of the Quartz lamps themselves. The maximum
temperature level indicates the full wattage output
capable from the quartz lamps, depending on your
sources voltage. The rotary dial controls the output
intensity level from 10 percent (minimum) to 100
percent (maximum). Temp is increased by rotating the
dial in a clockwise motion.

5
Unit Assembly:
1. Install leg assemblies:
To attach the leg assemblies to the bottom of the
lifting base. Use (4) 5/16th x 2 1/4th inch bolts,
washers and lock washers. A 1/2 inch wrench is
required.

2. Remove lifting knob:

Loosen set screw with supplied hex wrench and
remove the knob from the lifting rod. Set this aside
for reattachment.

3. Hood attachment:
Install the main hood assembly to the base. Ensure
the lifting rod is through the black cross bars. It is
recommended to use two people for this step to hold
in place.

6
4. Secure hood:
Attach the hood to the base assembly with the 5/16th
x 1 3/4th inch bolts, washers and nylon nuts. Make
sure a second person is there to hold the front of
the unite while installing the hardware. Reattach the
lifting knob after the hood is secured.
