Tonya Jefferson Lynch


Tonya is the co-founder of JGirls Style Solutions, LLC, and JG Media Productions along with her business partner and sister, Mimi Jefferson. Through JGirls
& JG Media, they provide training and motivational speaking in the areas of confidence, style, and communications.

She is the creator and producer of The Black Light Project, a humanities project utilizing photography and film to highlight & challenge the narratives of
Return To Dancers Black males in our communities. Most recently, The Black Light Project has been hosted on the campus of Pitt Community College throughout the month
of February 2017. The project will travel to Florida in March 2017 to present at the Florida Head Start Conference on Fatherhood and Community
Engagement.

In addition to her professional and entrepreneurial roles, she is a contributing writer for HER Magazine, serves on the planning committee for the
VOTE Substantial Magazine Substantial Awards, and is the co-host of Civil Talks on enc96radio.com, a show dedicated to open dialog regarding social justice,
and national & community issues.

Tonya is also the Web Coordinator for East Carolina Universitys University Writing Center, and is a former adjunct communications instructor for Pitt
Community College. She has a Masters degree from ECU in English, specializing in Technical and Professional Communications. She has served in the
capacity of speech writer, ghost-writer, blog contributor, free-lance editor on numerous projects, as well as, author of a customer service handbook.

She is a wife and the mother of 8 children; ages ranging from 17 to 21 months.

Jacob Jefferson
Jacob Jefferson is the son of Tonya Jefferson Lynch and Eric Hazelton. He is 13 years old and an 8 th grader at EB Aycock Middle School. He was the
quarterback for the Aycock Jaguars for the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 school years. He enjoys basketball and weight-lifting. Jacob is best known for his
outgoing personality and the brilliant smile that is ever-present on his face.
