Mary Caldwell
I was born in Costa Rica. I moved to Greenville in 2014 to work as Spanish teacher. I am working in Pitt Community
College as Outreach specialist for Hispanic population, assesses the Hispanic communitys educational needs and
develops strategies and programs to meet them. Also I work at Coalition For Healthier Eating, helping small farmers to
Return To Dancers start or expand their business. And I work at Virginia State University as Hispanic Coordinator for Small Farmers.
I am a strong believer in education, I like helping people overcome themselves and have a better life. I love dancing and is
my pleasure to help to raise funds for the Lucille Gorham Intergenerational Community Center in Greenville.

VOTE Prudencio Martinez-Menegel

Prudencio Martinez-Mengel was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He grew up in an island where music and dancing are
strong elements of the culture. He moved to Greenville nine years ago to pursue new professional and academic
opportunities.
He holds a Bachelors degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico, where he also worked as a research assistant
in marine and coastal conservation. He also worked as a Spanish Medical Interpreter at Vidant Medical Center, assisting
the Hispanic community of Greenville and adjacent areas, to communicate and navigate through the medical
environment while visiting or staying at the hospital. He is currently in his final semester as a Masters student in the
International Studies program at East Carolina University, concentrating in Economic Development, Cross-Cultural
communication and Latin America. He just found the opportunity to accomplish a lifelong dream of one day been able to
participate in a dancing competition. The noble purpose of this event, to raise funds for the Lucille Gorham
Intergenerational Community Center in Greenville, North Carolina, and his love for dancing, gives him a great deal of
satisfaction.
