Arts Experience (CLAE) will select 50 high school students who
have just completed their sophomore year and bring them to
Carleton, all expenses paid, for a one-week summer program. The
CLAE program introduces the strengths of a liberal arts education
through an array of courses in science, art, social sciences, and
technology.

9th-12th grade young women that provides training and eup/
mentorship in journalism and visual storytelling. We teach
video production, reporting, and storytelling skills to help our
scholars tell meaningful and important stories in their
communities and to aspire to be leaders in their field. Funded
through the Helen Gurley Brown Foundation, and created in
connection to Glassbreaker Films and The Center for
Investigative Reporting, our goal is to combat the lack of
gender representation in film and media. Working in small,
collaborative groups led by industry leaders, our scholars will
learn and use professional equipment to create and
broadcast their own short films.
