What are you guys learning about in your English class?
can you think of the name of the book that we read?
Lazily, Crazily and Nasally
What words are in that book?
- Adverbs.

Review with everyone. (They are from different classes)


Adverbs: describes(explains) more about the verb.

It answers the questions: When? Where? How?


The teacher and students will read the chart together one time.

Ex sentences :
- I baked the cake carefully
- He did his homework lazily.
- Henry is playing music loudly.
- She speaks softly.

We will play a Bingo game!

15mins Developing the Lesson


Bring your pencil to the carpet.
Write down the adverbs from our chart.
Every adverb has to be different.
Have students to write adverbs on their bingo paper.
Whenever the teacher say one word,
if someone can cross that word from their Bingo chart, that student will make a
sentence with the adverb.
The teacher will help the students to take turns.
Scaffolding to come up with the correct sentence.

2mins Closing the Lesson


After finishing the game,
the teacher will ask
the function / role of an adverb - describes/explains more information about the verb in
a sentence.
about what information? - how, when, or where.
