Chapter I

INTRODUCTION

The development of a nation anchors on the strength of its institution.

Living in a modern world where everyone aspires and crave to make life more

easier, more if not most makes the internet as their virtual companion not only at

home, internet caf but even in the confinement of the institution. Apparently we

cannot deny the fact that everyone is accustomed to this modern wonder that

more if not most makes it as their possible solution to their problem. In every

aspect of Filipino cultural landscape this modern gadget is undeniably used even

in institution that apparently makes the student life even easier. Thus, the

government, with the program of Higher Education tries to revolutionize every

institution down to the micro level. Having said this, it is a fact that despite the

proliferations of computers in every school, we cannot discount the reality that

students, faculty and even the Registrars Office find it difficult to man the long

queue of enrollees every school year. The only solution to this dilemma is of

course creating a system that will address the chronic problem during enrollment.

It is in this regard that the researchers decided to study the Samar College

Pre-Enrollment Scheduler for College of Arts and Sciences Students, creating a

system to address the problem that confuses every one concern. Through this

system that the researchers wants to lay out, a new scheme and perspective
2

shall be implemented in the College of Arts and Sciences Department that will

ensure to hasten the enrollment process. Through online web-based enrollment

system, this will help the students in the assessment of the possible subjects

they want to enroll even in the confinement of their home. The researchers

believe that although this is not a breakthrough study, this will be at least

beneficial to all concern.

Other researchers from this institution have tried to come up with the fresh

data gathering on this kind of study, however; studies have shown that previous

research of the same magnitude focuses on the grading system alone and by

passed the enrollment process, whereas this study focuses on the pre-enrollment

scheduler. The researchers believe that given these facts and possibilities, this

will bring fresh and new insights to the holistic process of enrollment that is

neither tedious nor data driven. Apparently, the system that the researchers want

to lay out could be helpful to the student population that tries to beat the deadline

every semester. In addition to this, faculty and office workers in the Registrars

will find it more compelling to just check the web-based data system to determine

whether or not the given subject are already loaded with enrollees.

Consequently, it will definitely lessen the problem in long queue that the students

hurdle every school year because of its traditional process of enrollment that

obviously takes its toll on them. By and large, this kind of virtual process of

enrollment will definitely earn both positive and negative reaction. Anyhow, the

researchers are more convince that should this web-based pre-enrollment

system be implemented it will bring positive result. Convincingly, all concern will
3

benefit from this study. In the course of time every Department from this

institution will soon follow.

More importantly, this study will ensure and summarize detailed

information beneficial both to the students, instructors, and the institution in

general .The web-based data system surely proves that indeed apart from being

a virtual companion, the improbable machine can be utilized to its maximum.

Thus, even in the most tedious and data driven scheme it can transpose to

lessen it by applying this possibility. To introduce the web-based data system in

this institution in lieu of the traditional process of enrollment is a welcome

possibility. The positive result of this research lies on the concerted effort of

everyone concerned. The main concern basically of the researchers is to lessen

the tedious process of traditional enrollment process that is more data driven.

Here, the researchers believe that the data gathered from the system is far more

than accurate. The introduction of the system to CAS department as the possible

solution to hasten the pre-enrollment process can be considered as the

benchmark in revolutionizing the enrollment process. The faculty can even give

an update as to how the enrollment on their subject is being addressed. In return,

the Registrars office can assess and control the influx of possible enrollees. The

students on the other hand will find it more accessible to visit the computerized

system page.
4

Statement of the Problem

This research will focus on how to supplement and facilitate the conflict of

schedules of Samar College CAS Students population with regards to

enrollment. The propose system will get the data from the Registrars Office.

Data that is needed in the enrollment system like Subject Code, Subject Name,

Subject Description, Day, Time and Room. Those data will be put on the propose

system. Students will just log-in in to the propose system and they will view the

available subjects with schedule where they can choose. The subject that is

available on the propose system are the only subject that they need on that

particular enrollment. Part of the propose system the subject available is filtered

base on pre-requisite subject and the students standing year.

The researchers believe that this breakthrough study will help to ease the

time element that makes both students and instructors inconvenience. Through

the system available in the Registrars Office students and instructors will have

an access to check whether subjects are still available for them. The researchers

believe that through this study the conflict of schedules of students and

instructors will be address. Apparently, this will minimize the time scope that

students and instructors go through during enrollment.

More importantly the researchers believe that with this studies, future

student will find it easier to enroll without having conflict through social media by

just finding the website intended for the students and the instructors per se even

in the confinement of their home.

5

Objectives of the Study

General Objectives

To develop an online web-based system that would embody up-to-date

information, that could eradicate errors, ensure accessibility and convenience for

both the enrollees and the teachers.

Specific Objectives

1. To minimize the conflicts of schedules in every enrollment;

2. To find out if indeed creating a website for Samar College CAS

Students and Instructors will hasten the conflict of schedules in every

enrollment;

3. To come up with fresh and accurate data that could be used for further

research on the subject of hastening and minimizing the hassle of

every student in every enrollment;

4. To determine whether this research is effective and easier; and

5. To determine whether social media is an effective medium in

addressing the conflict of schedules that every students goes

through in every enrollment.

6

Conceptual Framework

In this chapter, researchers used to outline possible courses of action

needed to present preferred approach to use in the whole study. A framework

can help the researchers to explain why they are doing a project in a particular

way.

Figure 1.1. Conceptual Model of the Design of Pre Enrollment System for Samar
College Inc.,

The researchers adopt the Iterative Implementation/Continues Integration

Approach otherwise known as Design Implementation Increments, for designing

their proposal. With this approach, the overall functionality of the system is

broken down into feature sets. These feature sets, often based upon cases from

the analysis stage, contain a group of individual features that are related,

typically by functional area. In most cases, the entire set of feature required to

support a functional area and will be too large to be considered a single feature

set, and must be further divided to reduce the size.

7

Conceptual Framework of study is essential in the progress of the study

and researchers frame. The Framework of this design starts in knowing specific

System Requirements of the school. This includes identifying problems regarding

existing processes of the school. Due to the increasing population and in demand

popularity of Samar College, researchers focus on Pre Enrollment System since

every school has their own way of accepting student. As study goes on,

researchers noticed that Samar College uses a manual enrollment system that

can result errors, redundancy and lots of time to process. This gives way to the

second phase, the Data Gathering. Assorted in data gathering are Background

Research (includes company background, mission and vision), to know their

existing I.T. Infrastructure and different Process Interrelationship on their

Enrollment System. The product of the requirements and data gathering would

be the Analyzation. In this phase different processes and transactions involves

on registration of students. All of these are conceptualize to decide a Design

Proposal.

Parts of Conceptual Framework:

1. System Requirements Includes identifying existing problems regarding

enrollment system of Samar College. This produces functionality that the

system should provide, which describes functions the system should

perform, business logic that processes data, what data is stored and used

by the system, and how the user interface should work. The result is the
8

system as a whole and how it performs, not how it is actually going to do

it.

2. Data Gathering This involves getting relevant and related data from the

school that will undergo design proposal. Data gathering was assorted in

tree features namely: Background Research, Existing I.T. Infrastructure

and Process Interrelationship

a. Background Research: Includes schools profile, vision and mission that

will relate to the design proposal.

b. Existing I.T. Infrastructure: Includes existing hardware and software

components that can be a factor in design proposal.

c. Process Interrelationship: Contains processes, transactions involve in

the existing Enrollment System and how they are related to each other.

3. Analyzation Involves planning and analyzing gathered information to

undergo a design proposal.

4. Design Proposal Contains results and analyze it to form a design

proposal. In the case of Samar College, proponents divided it in four main

features that relate different departments works.

a. Registration: Includes recording, verifying and retrieving students

information.
b. Reports: Different reports will be the result of any transactions include in

the design proposal.

5. Evaluation Includes gaining feedbacks or any suggestion for

improvement of the design proposal.

9

Scope and Delimitation of the Study

Scope

The propose system is to create an online pre-enrollment scheduling for

CAS department. In creating this online pre-enrollment system, researchers

believe that it will lessen the time and chaotic enrollment process. Using the

online pre-enrollment system, students of the CAS department will just enter their
10

username and password and they can select the subject schedules that are

available on that semester. The propose system have the ability to determine the

subject that you must take on that specific semester. It will show only subjects

that are screened by pre-requisite and year standing. After selecting the subject,

it provides hardcopy of the list of selected subject.

Delimitation

This study is limited only for the CAS Students of Samar College. Mainly

the online pre-enrollment system generally is not geared towards using in daily

conversation. This propose system is not connected to the Enrollment System of

Samar College and it has no right to view whether the students is officially

enrolled or not. The students can chose their subject during enrollment period

whether they are in the confinement of their home, but they are not officially

enrolled unless they pay for the entrance fees.

Significance of the Study

In this study, the researchers main purpose is to develop a Pre-Enrollment

Scheduler for College of Arts and Sciences Students here in Samar College. This

will help the students to estimate or see the available subject during enrollment

time and this will also aid the registrars office to lessen their task. The system to

be developed will be beneficial to the following:

11

Students: It will allow the students to choose their subject during

enrollment and it would be easier for them to select their subject without hassle

and even in the confinement of their home.

Registrar Personnel: It will reduce the registrars assignment in encoding

the students schedules every enrollment period.

Teachers: Teachers will benefit this study since it would be easy for them

to distinguish their schedules.

Future Researchers: The result of this research will contribute to the

future researchers for they will be guided by the information and data gathered in

the relation to the study.

School: The result of this study will be beneficial for the school for they

can use it and implemented.

CHAPTER II

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES

The literature and studies cited in this chapter tackle the different concept,

understanding, and ideas, generalization or conclusions and different

development related to study of the enrollment from the past up to the present

and which serves as the researchers guide in developing the project. Those that

were also included in this chapter helps in familiarizing information that are

relevant and similar to the present study.

Theoretical Background

Enrollment management is not just an organizational concept: it is both a

process and a series of activities that involve the entire campus ( Hossler &

Bean, 1990).

Hossler and Bean (1990) define enrollment management as efforts to

influence the characteristics and the size of enrolled student bodies by directing

the activities of the offices of admissions, financial aid, new-student orientation,

career planning, retention, and a number of other student affairs areas (Dennis,

1998).

Tinto and Russo (1994) report that the success of enrollment management

programs has been only moderately successful. In traditional way of enrolling,

15

manual enrollment system is commonly used as a way of enrolling students to

and is continuing to be used nowadays. In manual way of registering and

enrolling students they must have to fill up first using ball pen and an enrollment

form sheet given by their teachers. By the help of different developers and

programmers, they have developed different system about the registration and

enrollment process. Computerized, online registration and online enrollment

systems that helps the school for having an easier process of managing student

information.

Given these two perspectives, one would say that enrollment

management is concerned with the attraction and retention of students (Braxton,

Vesper, & Hossler, 1995). Donhardt (1995), feels that enrollment management

involves the influence of the whole enrollment picture from recruitment through

graduation. Bateman and Spruill (1995) found that enrollment management

extends to the educational outcomes of attendance.

Dennis (1998) defines enrollment management as forecasting trends that

will affect higher education and utilizing research to plan for the future

(Dennis,1998). Second, Dennis lists the following attributes of those who

understand enrollment management. Hossler and Bean conclude that there are

two goals of enrollment management. First, to exert more control over the

characteristics of the student body and two control the size of the student body

(& Bean, 1990, p.5)

16

Related Studies

Based on the researcher, a web-based enrollment system for Veritas

Parochial School (VPS) in Web Based enrollment system, Manila was developed

to help its students enroll in a more efficient way without the hassles of waiting

long hours in filling out forms, which sometimes become redundant, or to stand in

line and pay at the cashier.

It is with the Web-based Enrollment System for VPS that this new style of

enrollment may be achieved. This new type of system offers its students new

options for enrolling at VPS. By logging on to VPS website, one can register and

enroll subjects for a school year. With these, all the students are required to fill

out certain forms that do not take more than a few minutes to accomplish.

The system stores its records in the school database for future references.

Confirmation of the transaction made by the students need to be verified, the

payment of tuition fees must be made in the schools registrar. The students may

also browse the web site of VPS and he can check his current account. He can

also refer to the list of the school current tuition fee rates (Pascual & Riceo,

2008).

Garcia (2002) created the LSPC Enrollment System, the study can be a

great help to persons concerned during the enrollment period, the registrar,

instructor of the students as they retrieval necessary information when needed

and lessen the burden manually browsing over enrollment slip for record

purposes Saayo et.al (2008) developed the system Network based automated
17

Enrollment and grading system for Morong National High School. Due to

increasing population of the institution, and the school currently implementing the

manual system, every student spends a lot of time during enrollment period, such

as paying their tuition fees and processing the school requirements.

According to Lopez (2005), a registration system helps and provides

efficient and reliable services to the students, enrollment personnel and

administration. Moreover, this system improved the process of enrollment in

terms of searching, retrieving and subject schedules.

Soria (2006), constructed a system entitled Network-based Computerized

inventory System for the supply office o the LSPC main campus. With the

advancement of technology, devices and machines were improve , developed

and inverted to cope up with the need of new world.

While in a study conducted by Cayabyab (2007), many problems and

difficulties were identified in the existing system of Dagupan City National High

School (DCNHS). These major concerns are affecting the efficient enrollment

system of students. Security of the students records were found to be at high

risk. The current system may fail to protect some important documents. It has

also untimely and inefficient report generation.

A computerized system for DCNHS shall result to a significant increase in

the number of enrollees Network-Based Enrollment system Conde (2007) in his

study entitled Network-bases Enrollment System of Paete National High School

18

cited that the manual process of enrollment and manual handling of information

and reports of the students is very laborious one. The proponents developed a

network based system enrollment system to the said school to solve the huge

amount of task.

Valina et.al (2009), in this work entitled Network-based student

Permanent Record keeping and Enrollment System of Balian National High

School. This System was made to lessen the time and effort exerted by both

student and school employees. It is also made to give accurate reports and keep

records of every students every students and for easy and fast way of

enrollment.

Chapter III

METHODOLOGY

Research Design

The researchers adopt descriptive study, and used quantitative approach

in attaining relevant ideas that will involve in design proposal. In this scheme,

researchers ask information in detailed questions regarding what they observed

in actual to the school. They also adopt quantitative approach of study which

observed particularly in numbers. This will give way to use the sampling method

wherein data are manipulated by means of getting only sample that can

represent a whole. A good instance is an enrollment system wherein students

population is much involved. By getting some portion in the population of

students in every year level, they can achieve data by means of average

answers.

Research Environment

Samar College opened its doors in July 1,

1949 styling itself under the name of its famous

predecessors-Samar Junior College. Its main

building was located in the very heart of Catbalogan, at the corner

of

San Roque Street and Allen Avenue, while the Normal Training

School

was situated at the intersection of San Roque and Mabini Avenue.

The initial tertiary program offering then were the Elementary

24

Teacher Certificate (ETC) for the still young College of Education (CoED) and the

Associate in Arts (AA), with specializations in Preparatory Law, General Liberal

Arts, and Education, for the College of Liberal Arts (CoLA); thus, making the

CoED and CoLA as the first colleges ever to be established by the founders of

Samar Junior College.

The pioneering Board of Directors (BoD) was chaired by Mrs. Felicidad G.

Fernandez, with Mrs. Presentation D. Raynaldo, Mr. Esteban S. Piczon, Mr.

Marciano Lim, Dr. Antonio Merida, Atty. Francisco Astilla and Atty. Emilio Astorga

as members of the Board. The Instructional Support Staff Included: Sixto Q.

Salazar as Director, Mr. Marciano Lim as the Training Department Supervisor, Mr.

Fidel Lim as Registrar and Treasurer, Atty. Jose C. Santos as Librarian, Mr.

Esteban S. Piczon as Auditor, Mr. Alfredo CH. Perez as Accountant and Mr.

Carlos Valera as Cashier.

The 1950s saw Samar Colleges emergence not only as a hub of

academic excellence but sports and cultural center as well. In the first-ever held

Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association (EVRAA) meet in Cebu City, last

February 19-25, 1953, our school represented Samar Province in the Basketball

competition, when it opened up to complete four-year teacher education

programs, namely the Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (BSEED)

and the Bachelor of Science in Education-Inverted Course, where graduates of

the degree could teach in either elementary and secondary.

In the 1960s, the School Administration Building transferred location to its

present site, marking May 4, 1966 a red letter day for its inauguration. The Board
25

of Directors (BoD) continued to be under the reins and able stewardship of the

dynamic Mrs. Felicidad G. Fernandez, while the Gov. Esteban S. Piczon was

installed as the Vice-Chairman of the policy-making body, Sr. Mr. Sixto Q.

Salazar, Mrs. Pia A. Astilla, Mr. Jesus Japzon and Mr. Delfin Raynaldo.

The 70s mirrored for the Samar College the upheavals going on outside

the schools confines. Its students rode on waves of general discontent and

dissent pervading neither in its management nor at how its official were dealing

with the welfare of the students.

In the mid-70s, Mrs. Felicidad G. Fernandez bowed out from the school to

give way to other directors who were equally full of zest and fervor in maintaining

the quality of education pursued and upheld at that time. In 1976, Mrs. Pia A.

Astilla was voted as the new Chairperson of the Board of Directors; she applied

the brand of leadership in infusing timely adjustment to cope up with dynamism

of our educational system.

The dawning of the 70s similarly laid down for the ensuing grace and

fortune for the new one. The school gave the necessary morale boost to the

clamor of law-inclined and law-minded academe to open up such one in a

lifetime opportunity to students dreaming to become one of the provinces finest

lawyers and officers of the court.

In the 1980s saw the changing of command of the school; Mr. Fidelindo G.

Fernandez accepted his nomination as Chairman of the Board of Directors on

that fitting day of February 21, 1984, ushering in an era of vigorous and

innovative educational reforms. Mr. Fernandez proved to be a hands-on

26

executive who brought his corporate wealth of experience to pragmatic

application in the world of the academe.

In the 1980s was such a period of great abundance and of modernity that

brought so many blessings to the institution as a whole. The time was perfectly

right for the College of Business Administration and Secretarial (CBAS) to spread

its root down and wide in Samar College soil. At this time, the school started to

offer the four year degree program Bachelor of Science in Commerce (BSC).

In the 90s saw Samar Colleges years in a shower of bounty. The

administration Building got an enviable face-lifting; a new building called Annex

Building was turned over to their happy occupants that included personal of the

ROTC, PMT, and Medical Clinic.

Truly indeed, in 1996, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) gave

Samar College the Certificate of Recognition for the graduate course in

Education leading to the degree of Master of Arts in Education (M.A.Ed.). This

was the product of the efforts of Dr. Letecia R. Guerra, the first Dean of Samar

Colleges Graduate School.

In the late 90s, total makeover was done to the prefabricated building of

the High School and Elementary Building. The decade was highlighted by

another significant occasion which took place in February of 1999, the

celebration of the 50th year of this institutions foundation. Metallic gold and green

colors dominated the campus as we commemorated this historical event.

In this 21st century, when Information and Communications Technology

(ICT) became evident, Samar College followed the global trend; hence, the need
27

for the inception of still another college devoted to servicing and developing

students in such lucrative and futuristic field was conceptualized. The Information

Technology Education (ITE) program started initially as a department under the

motherly-care of Dr. Natalia Barayoga-Uy of the College of Business

Administration and Secretarial (CBAS), who was served as the Colleges

academic head for 22 long years. Later, it found strength academically to formally

settle as an independent unit of the school to become the College of Information

Technology (CoITE). Its first program offering was the Bachelor of Science in

Information Management (BSIM). The college further diversified by offering the

Bachelor of Information System (BSIS) and Bachelor of Science in Information

Technology (BSIT).

Chapter IV

Presentation, Analysis and Interpretation of Data

On this chapter present the Presentation, Analysis and Interpretation of

data collated in by the researchers. Whereby, the existing data system is given

emphasis. On the other hand, the need to develop the system is one among the

main concern in this study. Primarily the objective of the proposed system gives
34

the users and beneficiaries, the holistic approach of the system mentioned, thus,

evaluated whatever the output that may arise.

The Existing System

Since time immemorial, the students rely on the traditional approach of

enrollment process where subjects are given by the Deans office. Normally it

seems tedious both for the student and the office staff. Generally the student

especially for the new enrollees during enrollment goes to the Deans office for

the completion of the requirements before given the plotting form that allows

them to enroll. In the case of the returning students, their grades and subjects

are evaluated first before given the plotting form. The students who shifted from

another department or another school will do the same process. While the

regular students are given the plotting forms right away. After this process the

student will proceed to the cashier to pay the entrance fee. After which they will

go to the designated clerk to encode their enrollment and be officially enrolled.

Given this reality the researchers decided to create a system that will help both

the students and employees unload the task and burden during enrollment. Since

the proposed system is online, students can log in and check even in the

confinement of their home. Thus, this process is less tedious and more

accessible and user friendly.

The Need to Develop the Proposed System

35

The improbable machine is becoming mans virtual companion in pursuit

of an easier life. Through this, it motivates them to capture the optimum benefit of

this technology not only in other aspect of life, but; more so, in the educational

landscape. Most of our institutions nowadays are consuming time and endless

chaos in the enrollment process. It is in this whole scenario that the researchers

proposed a system that would lessen the manual work every enrollment period.

With the help of this system student will no longer experience the usual process

that makes the enrollment chaotic and tedious. The manual and traditional

process of enrollment gives the students more time to squeeze in a long queue

just to avail the given subject. Whereas, with the help of this system, the student

is aided to the non-chaotic enrollment process that student faces every year.

Having said this, it is likely that enrollment through the proposed system become

more fun and easier. Apparently, this proposed system guides the student to an

accurate and functional system that gives secured data exclusively for the

College of Arts and Sciences that will help them evaluate the hasten of the

process.

The Objectives of the Proposed System

The objective of this proposed system mainly focuses on a primer on a

pre-enrollment scheduler for CAS students. The system will give accurate data of

the subjects that has to be taken by the students. By using the proposed system

it will provide fast and available data with regards to the subjects that the student
36

wants to take up or enroll. In using the system, the students shall register using

their account before logging in. After doing the initial process, the system will

confirm the account using the personal password of the user. After the

confirmation the student can now access the whole system. Thereby the user

can now view the subjects offered in the system and other information: like

subject code, descriptive title, units, room and time. Apart from that, the student

can also check whether or not his or her grade is now available. With this virtual

reality the student can enroll right away conveniently by clicking in. To avoid onto

ward hackers, the researchers decided to give the system a user name and

exclusive password. This will also help to avoid possible user that might give

wrong information in the proposed system.

The Prospective Users and Beneficiaries

The prospective users and beneficiaries of the Samar College Pre-

Enrollment Schedulers for CAS Students are the following:

37

Students: It will allow the students to choice their subject during

enrollment and it would be easier for them to select their subject without hassle

and even in the confinement of their home.

The Components of the Proposed System

The components would make the system functional, accurate, reliable,

accessible, secure and easier to use in development of the proposed system.

General Features

The general features of the proposed system with regards of the following:
38

Functionality- the proposed system is easy to use conveniently by the user. It

can easily be understood and operational.

Security- the proposed system provides a username and password for the user

to access using their own account. Operationally, it is used for protection of the

system in keeping safe data.

As seen in Table 1.0 and 3.0 it can be implied that the proposed system is

operationally feasible and signifies the significant difference from the existing

system. From the collated variables, the researchers come up with average data

from the existing system with IT Students as respondent is 1.55 out of 5.0.

Whereas the data gathered from the proposed system is 3.88 out of 5.0.

Apparently, the total average of the data gathered both from existing and

proposed system is 2.78. The researchers can therefore assumed that the data

gathered from the IT respondents suggest that the existing system has less

significance and believes to be tedious since it is manually done as opposed to

the Pre- Enrollment Scheduler system. The software apparently show benefits to

the students of College of Arts and Sciences whereby hasten the enrollment

process.

As seen in Table 2.0 and 4.0 it can be implied that the proposed system is

operationally feasible and signifies the significant difference from the existing

system. From the collated variables, the researchers come up with average data

from the existing system with AB Students as respondent is 1.63 out of 5.0.

Whereas the data gathered from the proposed system is 3.66 out of 5.0.

Apparently, the total average of the data gathered both from existing and

proposed system is 2.65. The researchers therefore can assume the feasibility of

the proposed data system as beneficial to CAS students that experiences

confusion during enrollment. The combined data collated from both IT and AB

students shows that they favor the Pre-Enrollment Scheduler System as

opposed to the existing system.

Economic Feasibility- From the existing proposed system of this kind,

the researchers had the opportunity to make a comparative study using 191

respondents both from IT and AB students to ensure the economic feasibility of

the study using the software. Wherein, the system can be used by the CAS

Students and eventually by the whole institution.

6. With the difference of the output of the evaluation of security on the

proposed system, the researchers conclude that the IT students are more

adept to software as opposed to the Liberal Arts students who are more

into arts and social science.

Recommendation

From the results of this study the researchers recommends the following:

1. This proposed system should be implemented to hasten the enrollment

process.
2. System users can easily access using their account with internet

connection.
3. Should this system be implemented, faculty members, students, registrars

office staff must undergo briefing to know the system and its functionality

to avoid errors.
4. Information campaign of the proposed system must be given to other

department in this institution for further implementation of the software;

and
5. Future researchers of the same study can modify the output arrived by the

researchers for the benefits of the students, faculty members and

registrars office staff.
