Richard Branson Shoots for the Moon: A Leadership MiniCase

Richard Branson is the CEO for an umbrella company called the Virgin Group. He

founded the Virgin Company over 30 years ago Continue with your introduction of the case,

this may be a couple of paragraphs depending on your case. You should also use information

from the links that were provided at the end of the case. Those references and any others you use

should follow APA formatting for in text citations and for your references. Your introduction

should include information on the key problems and issues that you identified. You should also

formulate a thesis statement, summarizing the outcome of your analysis in 12 sentences.

This section should be used to provide background information, relevant facts, and the

most important issues and demonstrate the research you did on the case. You use information

from the chapter and reference and direct quotes using your APA style guide.

Qualities of a Good Manager

Since question 1 gives you some insight, you could start by discussing some of the

qualities of a good manager and relate them to Richard Branson.

Qualities of a Good Leader

Again, you can use your text book and other information within the minicase. Be sure to

be care that you relate this to the case and how it relates to Richard Branson or any other key

individuals you discover along the way!

the minicase that relate. You can probably discuss and provide alternatives and even

recommendations.

Conclusion

Here you should summarize the key points. A conclusion can seem repetitive.

Conclusions wrap up what you have been discussing and your conclusion should draw your

reader back to the main points. You shouldnt introduce anything new! If you didnt talk about it

in the sections before the conclusion, dont bring it up now. You should restate your thesis

statements and probably any recommendations that you might have made in any of the sections

above.
