Abstract: Collected data for average speed of a marble rolling down a ramp, measured the ramp
and the height of the table the ramp was on. Used the data and the measurements to find the
landing point of the marble. The calculation were done correctly and the marble landed within
half a centimeter.

I. INTRODUCTION: The goal of this lab was to predict where the marble will land
after being rolled down a ramp. Taking data before releasing the marble down the ramp
would help calculate the how far the marble will land.
II. THEORY: After Gathering information before releasing the marble down the ramp
gave enough data to calculate the landing spot of the marble. There were equations that
need used to find the landing point of the marble. The equations to moved around and
adjected to find the missing variables.
III. EXPERIMENTAL DETAILS: The materials that were need to do this experiment
are: A ramp, stopwatch, meter stick with centimeters on one side ( to make it easier to
convert to meters) and a marker. The marble needs to be rolled down the ramp at the
same point each time you time how long it takes to reach the end. The time the marble
takes to reach one point to the other must be recorded five times then averaged out to
help find the velocity. One the times are averaged it could be plugged in to the Mother
of all equations to solve the velocity

0.7 meters is the approximate landing point.

V. DISCUSSION: After the data was gathered, the expieremnt was conducted and the marble hit
the target less than half a centimeter off. All I had to do was look back at my my equations and
measurements to see what the problem was. After it was fix it worked perfectly.
VI. CONCLUSION: All the measuremnts were done right landed where I predicted it would land.
