Object

To prepare food table according to daily diet and


food habits (For self observation, find out which of
the component of balanced diet is decreases due to
food habit.)

Method
Note down the quantity in gram of different
substances such as food grains or cereals, pulses,
green vegetables, roots, and stems, milk, oil and fat,
sugar or gur etc. in your daily diet (including
breakfast, tea, lunch, dinner etc.). Then write calorie
value of each substance from the calorific chart
available in your laboratory. Then note the balance
diet and its calorific value also to compare with your
daily diet is balance or not.

Inference
To maintain health and to gain necessary energy for
daily work, food is needed for every one.
Carbohydrate, protein, fat, mineral salts etc. nutritive
materials are essential part of food. Need of energy
in person depends on age and profession.
Due to the change in food habit, now a days, people
are not giving proper importance to leafy vegetable
in balance diet, and hence, minerals and vitamins are
decreasing in food.
