Under Biggs administration, our
Council Tax has been whacked
up by a record 9% with unprece-
dented cuts to critical residents
services.
Together with the Tory govern-
ments austerity cuts, people are
being squeezed from both the
Council and Government.
As your Independent Group
Councillor, I will work tirelessly to
defend and improve the services
we all rely on. I will hold Labour
Mayor Biggs and his Tory sup-
porters to account and fight for
local residents.
I will always stand up for
Canary Wharf and Tower
Hamlets.

Mayor Biggs claims Labour have

attitude from the Mayor. Tory
Surrey council was able to do a
deal with the government to get
funding for vital services. Why

ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR AND DRUG-RELATED CRIMES

T ackling crime and anti-social

behaviour has always been a
priority of my community work.
I will continue to work with
the local police, the Council
and local housing providers
to cut down the Anti-social
behaviour in the Quarterdeck,
Millharbour and other areas.
Under the administration of
Lutfur Rahman, Councillor Ohid
Ahmed took initiatives to tackle
the issue of anti-social behav-
iour. A recent review published
on the 1st March found that
there had been significant
delay in progressing the scrutiny
review recommendations under
the administration of John Biggs.
The number of partnership
Police Officers in the borough
has fallen from 40 under Lutfur
Rahman to 6 under John Biggs
as a direct result of his cuts.
Tower Hamlets has now been
judged as one of the worst plac-
es in the country for drug crimes
with 1,513 reported drug crimes.
