Heavenly Father, as we look forward to Spring help us to reawaken our faith life. Let us re-commit to the
practices of prayer, fasting and works of charity. Most especially help us to have a grateful heart, one
filled with appreciation for Your constant blessings. We ask this through Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

LENT: Reminder: We welcome you to join us during Lent our classes will be attending Stations of the Cross
every Thursday, starting at 2:00 pm. We also invite you to join us Friday for our all school Mass starting at
8:15. Students need to be in formal dress uniform for Mass on Fridays.

EASTER LITURGY: St. Columba Parish welcomes all our families to attend our Family Easter mass at 9:30 am.
Easter Sunday Liturgy will be celebrated with a special Mass. This is a beautiful celebration to share as a

APPLEBEES 8TH GRADE FUNDRAISER: Join us Sunday, April 2nd at Applebees for lots of family fun, and a
delicious pancake breakfast while enjoying lots of great company. Located at 7677 Balboa Ave from
8:00 10:00 am. You can also order take-out. Tickets are $10.00 each. All pre-sale tickets must be
received by March 31st. All proceeds will go to the 8th grade class. If you another form for tickets, please
stop by the office.

SCHOOL RE-REGISTRATION FOR 2017/2018: Parents, please return your registration form and fees for next
year as soon as possible. Open enrollment will begin soon. If you havent completed and submitted the
registration form with payment, you are not registered for the 2017/2018 school year. Please note:
registration fees for returning students is $250.00 per child if received by March 17th. After March 17th
registration fees are $300.00 per child. Also, please remember the PTG fee of $200.00 per family is due at
the time of registration. Any questions, or concerns, please contact Ms. Navarro.

GIFT CARDS: Ordering gift cards on a regular basis is such an easy way to help support our school. You
can order on line or stop by the office to pick up an order form. Orders received by 9:00 am on Friday,
will arrive the following week. Once again, we want to thank all our families, parishioners, and friends for
your continued support.

SOFTBALL GAME PARENTS & TEACHERS vs. EASTERN POLICE DEPT: Come join us for a BBQ and an early
evening of fun! April 5th the Eastern Division Police Dept has challenged the St. Columba parents &
teachers to a softball game starting at 5:00 pm.

FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT: Family Movie Night is just around the corner..Featuring The Trolls, Tuesday, March
28th from 5:30 8:00 pm. Join us for a family fun movie night.

JOG-A-THON: Jog-A-Thon is coming.Friday, March 31st. Sponsor your child as he/she walks or runs for
our school. Preschool 10:15 10:30 , K 3rd 10:30 11:00, 4th 8th 11:00 11:45. Students will wear their PE
uniform and athletic shoes. We are in need of a lead parent to coordinate this event, and we also need
lots of volunteers. Contact Ms. Navarro, Mr. Fairchild or the school office to sign up by Friday, March 24th.
