On the one hand, Satan likes to be seen as Lucifer, son of the dawn, the angel of light, 2

perfect in beauty, full of wisdom and holding the secrets of the universe. This beautiful side of
evil is really a charade which covers up his real agenda of seducing mankind into following his
lead in an attempt to take over the throne of God. Many people who would never corrupt
themselves with vice, crime and other kinds of nasty mayhem have been seduced into pride,
power and the kind of sins associated with power, prestige, and even a search for esoteric or

 hidden knowledge not found by the average person. This elitist mindset is best expressed by the
ideals of Luciferianism.
On the other hand, Satan lost his beauty and position but is seeking by all means to convince

mankind of his right to rule. He seeks human followers who will readily identify with evil,
darkness, lying, destruction, terror and the grotesque. Satanism is an overt attempt to use
demonic power to dominate depraved humanity. Demons operate as vultures of the soul who
delight to gain spiritual power by feeding on raw, negative human emotion. Through the plan
launched in Genesis 6, demons have continued to use incubus and succubus (though now not
able to produce offspring). Demonically empowered people have used sadistic torture, sexual
abuse, domination, and mind control as a part of what might properly be called Satanic Ritual
Abuse. Some have argued that Satan is unable to control mankinds inherent weakness through
the flesh and thus he is responsible neither for individuals nor society degenerating into anarchy,
chaos and dissolution (Rom 1). However, it is more likely that he orchestrates such degenerating
conditions since they cause more misery both for individuals and groups of people. In the end
this well suits his ultimate purpose of gaining a negative spiritual power so that he might
eventually be able to dominate the world and in the end take over the throne of the universe. I
believe that the Scripture makes clear that his plan will fail.

II. The Biblical Account of Lucifer/Satan

Because of his pride Lucifer lost his position of resplendent brilliance in which he reflected
the glory of God. One could argue that he saw the glory he reflected and forgot or ignored
the fact that it did not radiate from his person, as it does from the divine Godhead. Is he
attempting to get back at God for his loss of position by trying to convince mankind of his
power and knowledge hoping to seduce specific humans into worshiphoping to eventually
attain his own dream of ascending to a place above God? A good case could be made for
such a position.

This view sees Jude 6 and 2 Peter 2:4 as parallel passages that say this sin was so heinous
before God that these demonic beings who so sinned were locked up in a special

report experiences of sexual activity with demons, however, which is called incubus (with
females) or succubus (with males). Claims have been made that in recent times there has
been an attempt to use test tubes and cloning technology to once again produce such
offspring by avoiding a sexual union. Study of UFOs and these kind of claims are so filled
with misinformation that it is difficult to sort out truth from fantasy and fact from fiction.

D. The origin of the (Luciferian) mystery religions in BabylonGen 10

Genesis 10 tells us that Nimrod was a mighty hunter before [or against] Yahweh
(Gen 10:9). From his research of ancient mythology Hislop deduced that Shem, the son of
Noah, decreed by judicial oath that because of his apostasy Nimrod should be killed,
dismembered and his body parts sent throughout the centers where he was worshipped. 5

Semiramis, Nimrods wife, though shocked by his death, demonstrated that her resolution
and unbounded ambition were in nowise checked. On the contrary, her ambition took a still
higher flight. In life her husband had been honoured as a hero; in death she will have him
worshipped as a god, yea, as the womans promised seed. Whereas the apostasy of Nimrod

established in life was open and public, the religion his wife established was secret since
publicity was out of the question. 7

Hislop writes:
Now when Shem had so powerfully wrought upon the minds of men as to
induce them to make a terrible example of the great Apostate, and when that
Apostates dismembered limbs were sent to the chief cities, where no doubt his
system had been established, it will be readily perceived that, in these circumstances,
if idolatry was to continueif, above all, it was to take a step in advance, it was
indispensable that it should operate in secret. The terror of an execution, inflicted on
one so mighty as Nimrod, made it needful that, for some time to come at least, the
extreme of caution should be used. In these circumstances, then, began, there can
hardly be a doubt, that system of Mystery, which having Babylon for its centre, has
spread over the world. In these Mysteries, under the seal of secrecy and the sanction
of an oath, and by means of all the fertile resources of magic, men were gradually led
back to all the idolatry that had been publicly suppressed, while new features were
added to that idolatry that made it still more blasphemous than before. That magic
and idolatry were twin sisters, and came into the world together, we have abundant
evidence. 8

This was an intellectually aloof and highly secretive group which covertly sought world
domination by financial, political and spiritual power. This Luciferian or light side is in
reality empowered by the same Satan whose dark side is seen in Genesis 6. There is
evidence that these mystery religions have never completely disappeared. There is reason to

believe that they or their influence have continued to this day and will be a part of the end-
time scenario (Rev. 17-18).

they do all kinds of detestable things the LORD hates. They even burn their sons and
daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods.

9When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the
detestable ways of the nations there. 10Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son
or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in
witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.
12Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable

practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you.
Isaiah 8
19When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not
a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? 20To the law and
to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn.
21Distressed and hungry, they will roam through the land; when they are famished, they will

become enraged and, looking upward, will curse their king and their God. 22Then they will
look toward the earth and see only distress and darkness and fearful gloom, and they will be
thrust into utter darkness.

F. The historical battle of Jesus (Yeshua) of Nazareth with Satan

3. Luke 10:19-20Jesus gave his followers authority to
. . .overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However do not
rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
4. Luke 13:10-17Jesus healed a woman crippled by a spirit for 18 years.
She is said to be a daughter of Abraham which would seem to be a technical term for a
believer. This passage would likely indicate that Satan can keep believers bound by
causing physical infirmity. I do not believe Christians can be demon possessed as that
implies ownership. They can, however, be demonized which is a transliteration of the
Greek word daimonivzomai (daimonizomi). From my experience this demonization
is on a continuum between various levels of control and influence on the one hand and
full control on the other (but this latter is closer to the English term possession which
implies ownership and could not be true of a genuine believer).
5. Matt 2627The death of Jesus on the cross was divinely orchestrated.
God designed His death as a substitution by which the God-man, Jesus Christ of
Nazareth, took upon himself the sin of mankind, paid in full its penalty and now offers
full pardon and gracious acceptance of any person who will by faith accept the payment
already made by Christ Jesus for his sin. The Gospels record the historical event but it is
explained in the prophetic Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament epistles.

G. The Cross explained

What appeared to be Satans master stroke of genius in ending the life of Jesus, the Messiah,
was instead the cause of Lucifer/Satans downfall. Colossians 1:15-22 and 2:14-15
demonstrate that Christs death was a massive victory over the forces of evil. While the final
execution of that victory is still future, the cross has provided the basis by which believers
today can exercise their spiritual authority over these forces which were disarmed, made a
public spectacle of and defeated. Ephesians describes our position of authority and the
means by which we can take our stand against our foe (Ephesians 1:3, 19-23; 2:1-10; 3:10-
13; 6:10-20).

H. The final conflictRevelation

Revelation 12
7And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the
dragon and his angels fought back. 6 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place
in heaven. 9The great dragon was hurled downthat ancient serpent called the devil, or
Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: Now have come the salvation and the power and

the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who
accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. 11They overcame him by
the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so
much as to shrink from death. 12Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them!
But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with
fury, because he knows that his time is short.

human being;

anesthetic for the purpose of dulling sensitivity, cognition, recollection of or resistance
to any criminal activity;

C. Forces ingestion or external application of human or animal urine, feces, flesh, blood,
bones, body secretions, non-prescribed drugs or chemical compound;

D. Involves the child in a mock, unauthorized or unlawful marriage ceremony with

another person or representation of any force or deity, followed by sexual contact with
the child;

E. Places a living child into a coffin or open grave containing a human corpse or remains;

F. Threatens death or serious harm to a child, his or her parents, family, pets, or friends
which instills a well-founded fear in the child that the threat will be carried out; or

G. Unlawfully dissects, mutilates or incinerates a human corpse.

V. Satanic Ritual Abuse Definition

Ritual abuse which occurs as part of a ritual which worships Satan, a demon, or any false god. 12

Another definition, from a more secular perspective, uses the descriptor Sadistic Ritual Abuse
of the following:
Ritual abuse is defined as a series of acts, including sexual abuse and rituals designed to
turn children against themselves, their families and society to enhance the power of the
perpetrators(s). Children are dually socialized to perform appropriately in the outside
world and to carry out behaviors demanded by the perpetrator(s). There are three classes of
perpetrators:
1. Isolated sex rings who dress up in costumes to frighten and control the children. If the
children tell, they will not be believed.
2. Isolated perpetrators who use control techniques developed by organized groups.
3. Organized groups, using costumes and props, which may be engaged in criminal
activities such as child pornography and child prostitution. 13

VI. Biblical Evidence for a Warfare Worldview (NIV)

Dr. Gregory Boyd, with whom I would disagree on many issues, has written in support of a
warfare worldview that the Western church has written much about evil but has also been
relatively impotent in waging war against (italics his) it. Whereas the New Testament
exhibits a church that is not intellectually baffled by evil but is spiritually empowered in
vanquishing it, the Western tradition has more frequently exhibited a church that is
perpetually baffled by evil but significantly ineffective in and largely apathetic toward
combating it. 14

deceive the nations in the four corners of the earthGog and Magogto gather them for battle.
In number they are like the sand on the seashore. 9 They marched across the breadth of the earth
and surrounded the camp of Gods people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven
and devoured them. 10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning
sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and
night for ever and ever.

VII. The Modern Expression of These Ancient Religions

A. The hidden Luciferian agenda for the New World Order
The Cadbury egg illustrates this Luciferian concept of being hidden within the larger context
of Satanism.

Many, if not all, of the secret societies, especially the Illuminati, seem to have their roots in
ancient Babylon. The distinction between the Luciferian/Satanic groups is deliberately
blurred. It might be that the Luciferians hide behind the Satanists because they really dont
want their existence, let alone their activities, to be publicly known. In any case it is difficult
to get those with Luciferian beliefs even to identify with their background in Satanic abuse.
Those personalities within an individual who identify with Luciferian doctrine will often
deny that anything Satanic even happened to them. I have usually found this to be an
elaborate cover-up so they cannot be touched by the usual therapeutic methods. In reality
they have been programmed to forget their own roots in the Canaanite culture of
Satanism so they can remain hidden and secretive. This background is essential for their
training in obedience. They may acknowledge abuse in a general way but see it as a positive
good that taught them to rise above the pain and thus consider it insignificant.
They were taught to develop a willingness to deny their own pleasure/goals and give
everything for the plan of eventual worldwide domination. In their belief system the

 individual matters little. What counts for everything is total commitment to the big picture.
They believe they control the worlds monetary supply, have been responsible for two world
wars and that soon they will be in total control.
This rather elite cadre of movers and shakers seek to enhance the ideal of the Lucifer
figure, whom they believe will eventually conquer the world and destroy all those who serve
the Creator God. Besides this God, their most vicious venom is reserved for those sincere
Christians who really believe biblical truth. The Creator is considered inferior and the
enemy of their vision of mankinds future. They believe that as the enlightened ones, they
can share in the rule and domination of Lucifer, whom they equate with light, power and
goodness. They are not always content with the title Luciferian because of the way
Christians have equated him with the fallen Satan. The movement took on new life with
the founding of the OTO, the Order of the Golden Dawn and the Illuminati, which has
become extremely secretive and stays out of the public eye.

B. The emerging Satanic revival

It seems that Freemasonry also claims a link to the Babylon Mysteries. For example, Joseph
Fort Newton, a 33 Mason, Past Grand Chaplain of the Grand Lodge of Iowa and Past Grand
Prelate of the Grand Encampment of Knights Templar of the United States, says that
Masonry is the spiritual descendant of the Mystery religions. Carrico cites in his book, The
Builders, Masonry stands in this tradition; and if we may not say that it is historically
related to the great ancient orders, it is their spiritual descendant, and renders much the same
ministry to our age which the Mysteries rendered to the olden world. 15

Carrico has documented that Freemasonry is a link between most of the modern founders of
various occult groups since most of them were also Freemasons. One of the many
Freemasons who was also involved in the occult was Aleister Crowley, considered the father
of modern witchcraft. Apparently, Crowley learned ritual magic from MacGregor Mathers,
but they were soon locked in a bitter Black Magic feud and when Mathers died in 1918
Crowley was blamed for his death. Mathers, also a Freemason, introduced Crowley to the
Order of the Golden Dawn. Crowleys statements leave no doubt that he believed in not

just animal sacrifice, but especially in the great power of human sacrifice. In MAGIC in
Theory and Practice he writes:
The animal should therefore be killed within the Circle, or the Triangle, as the case may be,
so that its energy cannot escape. An animal should be selected whose nature accords with
that of the ceremonythus, by sacrificing a female lamb one would not obtain any
appreciate quantity of the fierce energy useful to a magician who was invoking Mars. In such
a case a ram would be more suitable. And this ram should be virginthe whole potential of
its original total energy should not have been diminished in any way. For the highest spiritual
working one must accordingly choose that victim which contains the greatest and purest
force. A male child of perfect innocence and high intelligence is the most satisfactory
and suitable victim (bold added). 17

 I quote a disturbing quotation cited by Carrico from Lynn Perkins in a book entitled New
Age Youth and Masonry listed for sale in the 1993-1994 Macoy Publishing and Masonic
Supply Company Catalogue. The book states that a cleansing process will preceed [sic] the
establishment of the Aquarian Golden age by the year 2000:
Indeed, that is what we see today, as we look out upon almost every Nation on Earth, and
there is no evidence that the period of World-pain and tribulation is over; the cleansing
process must go on until evils are swept away and the New Aquarian Culture can be
established, hopefully by the year 2000 A.D. 18

The last days of the Old Age through which we are passing now may be called a
transition period when the inside of the cup of our national life shall be cleansed. (See
Matt. 23:25-26) This cleansing process must go on until that which ought not to survive
will be purged in order that those things that are permanent and immovable may remain as
blessings to mankind. This covert theme in much of the New Age material suggests that

they believe Christians are a hindrance to their plans and will seek to eliminate them in any
way possible. Those of us who take a futuristic view of Revelation find Revelation 18:13 a
fascinating statement that among the trading cargo of the end-time Babylon will be the
bodies and souls of mankind. Does this imply a kind of psychological slavery? In any
case, it seems clear to me that murder, immorality, drug use, and the worship of demons will
be a part of the end time scenario. Revelation 9:20-21 says that people will
Not stop worshipping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and woodidols that
cannot see or hear or walk. Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts [the Greek
word is farmakwnpharmacon or drugs, often used in connection with ritual magic], their
sexual immorality or their thefts.

C. Conclusion
Satanism is actively bringing in a culture of death.
Sometimes it appeals to the potential for evil within mankind.
Satan may also appear as an Angel of Light disguising his religion as intellectual elitism
sometimes called Luciferianism.
Either way, mankind is duped into following a loser.
In the end it will be seen that he has all along been an alternative for worship, but still he is
Gods servant, not an eternal rival.
God will accomplish His purpose and even Lucifer/Satan cant stop Him!!!
