(a) " Pmchayats Act " merns the Tamil Nadu Panchayatg Act, 1858 ;

3. (1) (a) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Panchayata Act, or Appointment

(3) (a) Each Special Officer appointed under mb-section (1) shall

Provided that if any vacancy arises in the poert of a S p a O f i e r , the

vacancy shad be filled up by the Stale Government and the p e m appointed

An- Act to amend the Tdmil Nadu Panchayats and Panchayat Union Councils
(Appointment of Special Ojicers) Act, 1991.
BE it enacted 'by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Forty-
second Year of 'the Republic of India as follows :-
1. (1) This Act .may be called the Tamil Nadu Panchayats and Panchayat shortatitlaand-
Union Councils (Appointment of Special OEcers)

(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 6th day of April 1991.
