Know all men by these presents that I John K Smith and Harriet his wife of the Village of Auburn
Oakland County Michigan in consideration of f[our?] hundred dollars to us paid by Calvin C Parks of
the same place the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge do by these presents give grant bargain
sell and convey unto the said Calvin C. Parks his heirs and assigns a certain parcel of Land situate in in
[sic] the County Lapier [Lapeer] in said Territory of Michigan bounded and described as follows viz
being the Equal undivided half of the East half of the North East quarter of Section thirty two of
Township seven North Range twelve East [?] the said tract was purchased by said Calvin C Parks &
John K Smith from the Government of the United States as appears by the Patent of the said United
States bearing date the first day of April in the Year one Thousand Eight Hundred and twenty six
Together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the said Land in any wise appertaining and
belonging To have and to hold the above granted premises to the said Calvin C Parks his heirs and
assigns to his and their use and behoof forever that the said John K Smith & Harriet his wife for our heirs
Executors and administrators do covenant with the said Calvin C Parks his heirs and assigns that we are
lawfully seized in fee of the aforegranted premises that they are free from incumbrances that we have
good right to sell and convey the same to the said Calvin C Parks as aforesaid and that we will and our
heirs executors and administrators shall Warrant and Defend the same to the said Calvin C Parks his
heirs and assigns forever against the lawful demands of all persons

In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this third day of April in the Year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two

County of Oakland ss Be it remembered that on the third day of April AD one thousand Eight hundred
and thirty two personally came before me the undersigned a Justice of the Peace in and for the County
aforesaid John K Smith & Harriet his wife known to be the persons who executed the within Deed and
acknowledged that they Executed the same for the purposes therein mentioned and Harriet wife of the
said John K Smith being separately examined apart from her said husband acknowledged that she
executed the within deed for the purposes therein mentioned without fear or compulsion of her said
husband
