Floor joist is designed for [1.2 x Dead Load + 1.6 x Live Load], based on the AISI-NASPEC 2001 with
2004 supplement and in accordance with LRFD method.
The top flange is fully braced against lateral and torsional buckling.
Lateral and torsional bracing are provided at midspan for bottom flange.

Since the compression flange of the section is fully braced, the lateral-torsional buckling won't occur; and
the flexural strength is equal to the strength at initiation of cross-section yielding calculated in accordance
with Section C3.1.1 in the 2001 specification.
The effective properties of the section can be calculated by loading the section by a stress gradient
(tension-compression) which has the value of the yielding stress (Fy) at the extreme compression fiber of
the section (Fig. 5-1).

7 Conclusion
It is unsafe to use a (925PJ250-43mil, 50Ksi) section as a joist for this floor.
