Jeff Price
Principal Consultant - Geotechnical Engineering
Jeff Price has over 20 years postgraduate experience in
engineering geology, geotechnical consulting and research
for civil and mining projects. Jeff s main expertise includes
investigation, instrumentation and design for open
pit mines, and numerical modelling for open pit and
underground projects. His experience in mining studies
ranges from scoping to bankable feasibility-level, including
due diligence. Jeff has specific geotechnical experience
with gold, copper, iron ore, and coal resource projects in Australasia, Russia and the
former Soviet Union, South America and Africa. Jeff has presented and published on
introductory mining geotechnics and research on the role of fractures roughness in
the hydromechanical behaviour of rock masses under two-phase flow conditions.
Since 2007 Jeff has been the Geotechnical Department Head for SRK (Perth) with
managerial responsibility for specialist teams performing multidisciplinary studies.

Kevin Holley
Principal Consultant - Geotechnical Engineering
Kevin Holley has over 24 years of international experience
in geotechnical and geological engineering for both the
mining and civil engineering industries. His scope of
experience covers site investigation and geotechnical
design for open pit mines, mining infrastructure, high
and low rise structures, artificial islands, seawalls, fill
embankments and embankment dams, landfills, industrial
complexes, tunnels, rail, pipeline and road route alignments, slopes and bridge
abutments. Kevin has project and project management experience in Australia,
Southern Africa, Southeast Asia, China, Canada, Russia and Chile. He also has
experience in assessing the impact of blasting and blast design.

Ian de Bruyn
Principal Consultant - Engineering Geology
Ian de Bruyn has 13 years experience in the fields of
engineering geology and geotechnical engineering
over a wide range of projects in both the mining and
civil engineering sectors. He has particularly strong
expertise in geotechnical assessment and provision
of design parameters for open pit mining operations,
and has worked on projects involving very large pits in
challenging rock mass conditions. He is also well versed
in rock mass characterisation and domain modelling for input into fragmentation
analysis, selection of mining method and support design for underground mines. Ian
has expertise in site investigations and geotechnical evaluations for civil engineering,
in the fields of both rock mechanics and soil mechanics. His experience includes
extensive work on karst-related ground instability, and site characterisation for
foundation design for civil and mining infrastructure.

Kobus du Plooy
Senior Consultant - Rock Mechanics
Kobus is a rock mechanics engineer with 17 years
experience as geotechnical engineer in the mining
industry, both in operations and as a consultant. His key
expertise lies in the areas of shallow to deep level mining;
operational review and assistance; mine feasibility studies;
numerical modelling (Map 3D, Minsim 2000, Phase2,
BCF) to assess geotechnical conditions; ground support
and pillar design; backfill; design and interpretation of rock
engineering strategies; the planning and design of mine infrastructure in tabular,

Dave Luppnow
Principal Consultant - Tailings Engineering
David Luppnow is a Principal Engineer with over 18 years
of experience in site investigations, site selection, design,
construction, reclamation and project management of
engineered structures for mine waste disposal including
tailings dams, heap leach pads and mine waste rocks
dumps. He has managed multi-disciplinary studies for
a broad range of tailings projects related to more than
20 tailings dams, including upstream, centrelines and
downstream raised impoundments. He has specific large copper tailings project
experience in the South Africa, USA, in Asia and in South America. He has specific
leach pad experience in Asia, West Africa, the USA and South America for
commodities ranging from copper, gold and uranium. Mr. Luppnows experience
extends to dump leaches, as well as dedicated and re-usable pads.

Juan Jose Moreno
Principal Consultant - Tailings Engineering
Juan J Moreno has more than 16 years of diversified
experience in project coordination and project design
mainly associated with geotechnical engineering for the
mining and civil industries throughout Australia, South
America and Southern Africa. His experience includes
tailings engineering, slope stabilisation, excavation support,
waste disposal, risk assessment, earth retaining structures,
shallow and deep foundations, soil dynamic response,
pavement design, small dams and drainage. His project experience has included
conceptual and final design engineering, preparation of construction documents,
subcontractor procurement and construction supervision.

Caroline Holmes
Principal Consultant - Tailings Engineering
Caroline Holmes is a Principal Engineer with over 14
years experience with site selection, site investigations,
design, construction and project management of mine
waste storage facilities. Practical expertise includes
site selection studies, conceptual and detailed designs,
permitting, evaluation of methods of disposal, material
characterisation, geotechnical investigations, slope stability,
composite liner designs, seepage analyses, compilation of
tender documentation, tender adjudication, project management and construction
supervision. Carolines experience includes the completion of numerous due
diligence and competence person reports for existing and proposed mine waste
storage facilities.

Juanita Martin
Senior Consultant - Hydrology
Juanita Martin has more than 15 years of experience in
coordination, design and supervision of civil engineering
projects. Her involvement with mining and civil projects
has included various civil disciplines from conceptual
through detailed engineering designs. Juanita has recently
developed experience in water management for mining
projects in diverse environments from the arid northern
Chile regions to tropical areas in Venezuela and boreal
areas of Kazakhstan. Currently her tasks include design and document preparation,
sub-contract management and project supervision.

Stefan Mller
Principal Consultant Hydrogeology
Stefan Mller is a mining hydrogeologist with more
than 20 years experience. He specialises in the analysis
of fractured rock aquifers to design mine dewatering
systems and groundwater supply fields. He has conducted
numerical modelling to predict ground-water inflow
to both open pit and underground mines, designed
dewatering and depressurisation systems. He has
designed and analysed specialised aquifer tests to allow
hydrogeological characterisation of sites relative to ground-water contamination,
planning of hydrogeological data acquisition programs for mineral exploration,
ground-water exploration and groundwater development studies. He has gained
his experience in Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe and Papua New Guinea.

Lisa Chandler
Principal Consultant - Environmental
Lisa has over twenty years experience as an
environmental advisor to government and the private
sector. Her diverse professional experience and formal
qualifications in both engineering and science enable
her to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams. Lisa
has a particular interest in environmental assurance
activities, compliance and performance assessment and
a range of due diligence activities. She was formerly head of the audit section of
the Department of Environment and Conservation. For the past ten years, Lisa
has worked predominantly in environmental impact assessment, audit and senior
technical / management roles in Western Australia. Lisa is certified as a principal
auditor for assessment of environmental management, environmental management
systems, environmental compliance and contaminated sites assessment.

Erich Heymann
Principal Consultant - Environmental Engineering
Erich Heymann is a Principal Consultant with 24
years of experience. Erich has extensive experience
in environmental management in the petrochemical
and mining industries in South Africa. His key areas
of expertise include environmental impact and risk
assessment, compliance assessment, environmental management systems,
corporate sustainable development reporting, public consultation, mine closure
planning and due diligence. He was the Group Environmental Consultant at Anglo
Platinum, the world leader in platinum mining, smelting and refining for over 12
years. Prior to that he held various positions in environmental management at
Engen Petroleum and worked as a consultant and as a process engineer in the
chemical industry.

John Chapman
Principal Consultant - Environmental Engineering
John Chapman is a recognised expert in Acid Rock
Drainage (ARD) assessment and prediction, mine waste
characterisation and management, and mine closure.
John has over 20 years of mine environment and related
experience and has project experience in Australia, South
East Asia, Canada, USA and in Europe. His recent project
experience includes mine water treatment requirement assessments, mine closure
and related environmental work. He has completed baseline waste characterisation
and water quality prediction for permitting of a number of sites. John has completed
due diligence and principal independent technical reviews for a number of projects.
He was also the lead geochemist for the largest uranium remediation project in
the world in eastern Germany. He also has extensive experience in mine waste
management, prediction of long-term water chemistry from waste rock, tailings, and
open pits, and reclamation.
