 Objective
The purpose of this manual is to standardize and testing
procedures irrespective of the equipment & working personals
thereby reduce the uncertainties in the installation and
commissioning procedures, which can make the Installation and
commissioning procedure simpler & faster.

More over it is our one of the main objectives to make this manual
as a reference guide for the newly inducted engineers to have
awareness in new substation activities .

Scope.
This manual covers procedures of installation and commisisoing

Substaion are one of the major components in Transmission

substations. Commissioning of equipment according to the
international standards with at most quality is very much essential
for the smooth & trouble free functioning of any equipment. As the
switchgears are the primary power carrying equipment, at most care
has to be taken while commissioning the equipment. Any small
pitfalls may cause irrevocable damages to the equipment & to the
system.

We feel this procedure will make the engineers aware about the
commissioning procedures of the switchgears to a professional level.
All the commissioning department Switchgear engineers are fully
committed to put our all future experiences in revising this
procedure to make it more professional & Systematic.
