outlined below, estimate the size of the fleet of HCMTs (i.e. number of
trains) that would be required to operate the outline Train Service
Specification prepared by Public Transport Victoria (PTV) for both the AM
and PM peak hour and off peak train services.

ANSWER

From the Outline Train Service Specification below the AM and PM peak
hour services are Category 2 and the off peak train service will be
regarded as Category 1 and Category 3. We also need information from
points 4 and 5 in the question for the answer.
