Interface of axle installation is identical to that of AV 132 at improved product performance

Bevel gear diameter enlarged by approx. 10 mm

Portal drive gear chain has been enlarged and optimized (i = 3.18, marginal change in axle ratio)

Differential bearing and portal drive bearing have been enlarged and lubrication has been optimized.

Changeover of screw connections to CR6-free coatings

Acoustic test bench measurements show improvements in various operating ranges up to 3 dB(A); otherwise comparable to
current AV 132 II volume production version
Performance identical to AV 132 II HD, i.e. 15 % higher than standard AV 132 II

Optionally available:

5 percent weight saving per axle in combination with aluminum spring carrier

Interface reduction when using ZF breather system

Increase in oil mileage to 240 000 km in combination with new ZF oil and ZF breather system (not yet defined for application in hot
countries)
Efficiency (in definition phase) target: - 5 % power loss
