where will the mind fix itself? When there is nothing for the mind to attach its

will slip away from meditation, or will glide into a state of slumber. Therefore

wise will meditate on some form, remembering however that it is an indirect meth

tadejati tannaijati taddUre tadvantike |
tadantarasya sarvasya tadu sarvasyAsya bAhyataH || 5||

sarvabhUteShu chAtmAna.n tato na vijugupsate || 6||
yasminsarvANi bhUtAnyAtmaivAbhUdvijAnataH |
tatra ko mohaH kaH shoka ekatvamanupashyataH || 7||

sarva ruupa nivR^ittaa hi buddhiH kutraasya tiShThati .
nivR^ittaa glaayate buddhir nidrayaa vaa pariiyate ..
tasmaad vidvaan upaasiita buddhyaa saakaram eva tam .
asti tasya parokSha tad iti ki~Nchid anusmaret ..
