I. Learning Objectives:

At the end of the period, the students should be able to:


A. give the importance of an extension cord,
B. enumerate the materials and tools in making extension cord,
C. create an extension cord individually.

Materials : flat cord, male plug, convenience outlet, pliers and screw
drivers

The teacher will show picture and let the students describe and identify it.

- Do you have an extension cord at home?

- Ask the students if they use extension cord.

C. Abstraction

Electrical gadgets are product of modern technology to make our life


better. The number of electrical gadgets available at home and in offices
may exceed the existing convenience outlet installed in every room.

C.1. Give the importance of extension cord


To address the insufficiency of available outlet, the best remedy is to
use an extension cord especially if the electrical gadgets need to operate at
the same time.

C.2. Explain the materials and tools in making extension cord

Ask the students to differentiate first electrical tools from electrical


materials.

Let the students enumerate the materials and tools used in making an
extension cord and let the learners give their functions.
D. Application
- Present the individual activity.

Learners will create their extension cord.
