FABRICATION WORK

DMK 3233 SEMESTER 3 SESSION 1/2016

1.0 OBJECTIVE

To provide the knowledge of fabrication work using appropriate tools and


equipment so that branch and header pipe of equal and unequal are
fabricate in accordance with drawing template and specification.

2.0 LEARNING OUTCOME

Upon completion of the course, students should be able to:

1. Identify methods of pattern development branch and header pipe of


equal and unequal dimeter are fabricated according to standard of
fabrication work. (C3, PLO2)
2. Prepare the template for branch and header pipe of equal and
unequal pipe diameter according to the most industrial used. (P2,
PLO3)
3. Demonstrate cut and assemble branch and header pipe of equal
and unequal pipe diameter. (A2, PLO5)

3.0 SYPNOSIS

The findings of this course is to introduce the learners methods of


pattern development, methods of fitting an assemble technique and
prepare template for branch and header pipe of equal and unequal
diameter. Upon completion of this course, students will understand about
the pattern development of branch and header pipe and flangs joint are
given in accordance to drawing template and specification.

5.0 CONTACT HOUR

i. 3 hour per week for 16 week Total 48 hours)

6.0 COURSE INSTRUCTION

Courses will be carried out during 16 weeks of academic studies and


will be held in dual language which is in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Attendance is compulsory for Lecture/Tutorial/Practical and students
must achieve above 80% from the total contact hour in order to be
eligible to sit for Final Examination
