NSPC champ hopes 2-peat in editing confab

By Keanu Abriol

After winning first place in the National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) last
February, Joey Mae L. Perez, Grade-10 Einstein, is hoping to attain the same
achievement in the Copyreading and Headlining contest in January 2017.
I know its going to be tough to repeat that performance, but I will try my best to
do well in the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC), Perez said.
Perez was only in Grade 9 when she won third place in the 2015 RSPC, earning
herself a slot in the 2016 NSPC.
I believe the biggest reason why I won is the fact that I never gave up and I kept
striving hard to reach my dreams, she said.
In the recent Division Schools Press Conference on October 22, 2016, Perez
qualified to compete in the 2016 RSPC after winning first place in the same category.
