CODE OF CONDUCT

The role of the management is to provide policies and procedures that will improve
the environment of the workplace. As such, management has provided a Code of
Conduct which all employees must abide by. The guidelines for the Code of Conduct
are as follows:

No employee shall be excused from appropriate sanctions contained in the


Code of Conduct for the reason of ignorance of the policies, rules and
regulations that are stipulated in the Code.
Disciplinary sanctions or penalties shall be imposed immediately.
The rules on disciplinary action shall be imposed with fairness and justice.
Disciplinary actions will be corrective and not punitive in nature.
Any or all the corrective actions shall be done in accordance with the Labor
Code of the Philippines.
All suspensions from work shall be without pay.

Failure on the job

An employee who demonstrates his refusal or inability, without justifiable reasons or


cause, to perform his duties and responsibilities in accordance with the standards set
by the company or those expected of his position shall meet the following penalties:
1st Offense: Written Reprimand
2nd Offense: Suspension for five (5) days
3rd Offense: Dismissal

Failure to report loss or damage of company property immediately

Any employee who, failed to immediately report any loss to authority after the
incident occurred, shall be penalized as follows:

1st Offense: Written warning


2nd Offense: Suspension for five (5) days
3rd Offense: Dismissal

Negligence resulting in the anomalies or loss to the company, damage, or


destruction to company property

Any employee who, failed to perform his duties accordingly which results to loss,
damage or destruction to company property, shall be penalized as follows:

1st Offense: Automatic payroll deduction of Amount involved and 5 days suspension
without pay
2nd Offense: Termination

Malingering

Any employee who, for purpose of avoiding work, duty or service, feigns illness,
physical disability or mental sickness, shall be penalized as follows:

0 1st Offense: Suspension for five (5) days


2nd Offense: Dismissal

Sleeping during work hours

Any employee who, without any justifiable reason, is caught sleeping during his
working hours shall be penalized as follows:
1st Offense: Written Reprimand
2nd Offense: Suspension for five (5) days
3rd Offense: Dismissal

Abandonment of post

An employee who abandons his/her post during working hours without authority or
valid cause or reason shall be penalized with the penalty of:

1st Offense: Written Reprimand


2nd Offense: Suspension for ten (10) days
3rd Offense: Dismissal

Inefficiency and waste

An employee who deliberately or through gross negligence wastes, or consumes or


utilizes more than reasonably necessary the companys money, supplies, materials,
time and other resources in performing his job, or is guilty of improper or incorrect
use of the company tools or equipment; or causes, encourages or incites other
employees to do the same, shall be penalized of the following:

1st Offense: Written Reprimand


2nd Offense: Suspension for five (5) days
3rd Offense: Dismissal

Loitering

An employee who idles away his time during working hours or uses company time for
personal matters shall be penalized in accordance with the following penalties:

1st Offense: One (1) day Suspension


2nd offense: Suspension for five (5) days
3rd Offense: Dismissal

Violent acts

An employee who causes, instigates or commits, whether within or outside company


premises, any act of violence, intimidation, unjust vexation, harassment which may
cause or threaten to cause physical, mental or emotional harm or injury to a co-
worker, customer or client of the company, guest of the company, or the employees
superiors or cause damage to the property of the company or the above-mentioned
people shall likewise meet the penalty ranging from written reprimand, suspension to
dismissal, depending on the gravity of the offense or its consequences, and without
prejudice to other applicable penalties found in the Code of Conduct.

Commission of a crime

An employee who has been proven by substantial evidence to have committed a


work-related criminal offense, and even if not work-related as long as it portrays his
lack of moral fitness to remain in employment with the company shall meet the
penalty of dismissal. Such criminal offense may include, but are not limited to:

1. Unauthorized carrying of firearms and other deadly weapon inside Company


premises
2. Possession and/or usage of prohibited drugs
3. Gambling/lottery inside Company premises

Intoxication

An employee who becomes intoxicated while on duty shall incur the penalty of at
least fifteen (15) days suspension or dismissal, depending upon the gravity of the
offense and/or circumstances surrounding its commission.

Fraud against the company

Any employee who commits fraud against the company (e.g. unauthorized spending
of company funds; substitution of company materials/equipments with another of
inferior quality); or who makes a false or fraudulent claim against the company or to
obtain a payment, benefit or gain from the company to which he is not entitled, shall
suffer the penalty of dismissal.
Theft or pilferage

Any employee who removes or takes, or attempts to remove or take from company
premises, without authority to do so, any funds, equipment, tools, materials, supplies,
accountable forms or other properties of the company, or a co-employees property
regardless of the condition or value of such property, shall be punished by dismissal.

Misappropriation and/or withholding of company money or funds

Any employee who uses or withholds company resources/funds for own benefit or
personal gain shall be punished by dismissal on first offense.

Falsification of company documents

Any employee who for personal gain, or for the benefit of another, shall falsify,
conceal, falsify or fabricate company documents to the prejudice of the company,
shall be sanctioned with dismissal.

Disloyalty; Abetting harm against the company


Any employee who acts or does anything in any manner contrary, prejudicial, or
damaging to the interest of the company, or beneficial to the interest of the
companys competitors to the detriment of the company, or abets the efforts of the
other parties in inflicting commercial, political, legal, publicity, or any other form of
harm or damage to the company shall suffer the penalty of dismissal. Such acts may
also include but are not limited to the following:

1. Inciting or taking part in a riot inside the company premises


2. Sabotage and corporate espionage
3. Assisting or allowing an outsider to enter the company premises especially
the restricted areas and at night time, without prior written consent of the
Department Head concerned
4. Refusing to submit one self to security frisking

Revealing confidential information


Revealing, divulging, or the unauthorized dissemination of company trade secrets,
forms, documents, and/or other matters or information classified as confidential is
subject to final written warning to termination depending on the gravity of the offense.

Accepting bribes and similar consideration

To bribe or to accept bribe, directly or indirectly, in any form whatsoever, such as


money, gift, or present, etc., in consideration of any act, contract, decision, or
services connected with the discharge of employees official duties is subject to final
written warning to termination depending on the gravity of the offense.
