I hereby recommend Ms. Chalyss Evans as an ideal candidate for Undergraduate
School. She has been a student in my Psychology class at El Capitan Highschool, Merced, CA. I observed her to be an intelligent, honest, perseverant and pleasant individual. Ms. Evans shows strong moral values which I think works in line with working toward becoming a professor. While in my class Ms. Evans was participative and interested, turning in her homework on time, and accomplishing everything that was expected of her. Ms. Evans was in the top 1% of my class. I was impressed by her wit, her sense of humor, and her perception of life at such a young age. It is my opinion that Ms. Evans is a bright and successful individual with a great future ahead of her. It is rare to find young individuals who already know what they want to do so early after highschool, but Ms. Evans is a motivated student who always strives to do her best. She is committed to her future and keeps her objectives in mind. In this age of social media, Ms. Evans reads books all the time, talks about literature, writing, and has opinions about many difficult subjects in society. She is a very interesting individual. For the year and a half I have interacted with her, I have seen her leadership as a Cheer captain, her involvement in school activities and other volunteering she has done in the community. This year, remembering her engagement and work ethics, I decided to hire her as a team member in my community health project. The PICH program, spearheaded by the CDC and organized by the Merced Public Health Department invited me to put together a team of young activists to lead tobacco education activities in town and around the schools of our city to educate youth on tobacco related questions. Ms. Evans has done a good job while being so busy, and kept an excellent school record despite the demands. I have no doubt that given the opportunity, she will not bend under pressure and will keep her head in the game. On top of this great track record, Ms. Evans cares for an elderly grandmother at home. I have been a witness to her gentle care and service to her grandmother while having such a packed schedule. I believe that Ms. Evans has her head and heart in the right place, and I look forward to seeing her grow and attain her life objectives. I am convinced that she will be a great leader, representative of a deserving generation of young professionals. I have also met with her father, and heard about her family at our first interview, and I have seen that Ms. Evans has the right support system around her, she will be doing great in college. Success is not just academics but also well roundedness, and Ms. Evans is all that. She will give all her energy to achieve the completion of her degree because she has a real vested interest in succeeding. Ms. Evans will strive for excellence in class but also in service to her university. When I think of Ms. Evans, I see a professor in the making with a meaningful contribution to humanity, I believe she truly is deserving of admission, which I hope that you will agree to also. As such, I strongly recommend Ms. Chalyss Evans as an ideal candidate to be admitted in Undergraduate School.
