Course Learning Objectives:

The student will be able to:


CLO1: Outline the need for studying engineering economics.
CLO2: Explain the engineering decision-making process.
CLO3: Demonstrate the ability to understand the concept of loan, repayment, interest and types, and
time-value equivalence.
CLO4: Demonstrate the ability to make comparisons of alternatives based on their equivalent annual
worth, present worth and rate of return.
CLO5: Define the components of costs such as DMC, DLC, Overheads, Factory cost, and marginal cost.
CLO6: Demonstrate the ability to estimate the cost of simple components
CLO7: Demonstrate the ability to understand financial statements, balance sheet, and profit and loss
