1. Product Overview
Thank you for choosing DIGISOL DG-BA3321 21.6Mbps 3.75G
Broadband Adapter! With this 3.75G broadband adapter you can get
connected to Internet using the high speed 3.75G network. When this
adapter is connected to a system then the utility/driver installation
wizard is initiated automatically without the need of a CD-ROM for
installation. Through the utility users can make/receive a voice call and
also track the data usage for their connection.

This adapter also has a Micro SD slot for Mass Storage. User can send
or receive a SMS and maintain a phone book with the help of the
software which is installed with this adapter.

1.3 Get familiar with your new 3.75G USB adapter

Below shown is the front and rear view of the 3.75G USB adapter:

The above figures show the appearance of the 3.75G USB adapter. It is
provided only for reference and the actual product image may vary.

2. Installation

The following section explains the hardware and software installation


procedure.

2.1 Hardware Installation

Following are the steps for inserting the SIM and a Micro SD card in the
3.75G USB adapter.

1. Slide and pull the SIM card tray out and then put the SIM card
and slide the tray inside.

Ensure that the beveled edge of the SIM card is properly aligned
with that of the SIM card tray.

2. Insert the Micro SD card into its corresponding slot, as shown in


the following figure.

Note: The Micro SD card is an optional accessory. It is not


included in the package.

2.2 Software Installation on Windows OS


The software installation procedure depends on the operating system
(OS) installed on your PC. This section takes Windows 7 as an
example. For MAC, please refer the Help section of the Software.

1. Plug the 3.75G USB adapter into the USB port of your PC.

2. The OS automatically detects and recognizes the new hardware


and starts the installation wizard. Click Next button to continue
with the installation.

Note: If installation does not start automatically then go to


My Computer and click on the CD ROM ICON 3.75G -
Connect.

3. Select the drive and folder for installing the software, and then
click the 'Next' button to continue with the installation.

4. Select Browse to create start menu folder and additional tasks,


and then click the Next button to continue with the installation.

5. If you wish to create the icon on the desktop then select the check
box else unselect it. Click the Next button to continue with the
installation.

6. Click the Install button to install the application.

7. Click the Finish button to finish the installation.

8. The application runs automatically after finishing the installation.

Congratulations! Your 3.75G USB adapter


installation is now complete.

2.2.1 Uninstalling the Application on Windows OS

There are two ways to uninstall the software.


First one: Click Start > All programs > 3.75G - Connect, and choose
3.75G - Connect Uninstall, follow the on-screen instructions to finish
the uninstallation.

Second one: Go to Control Panel -> Uninstall a Program. 3.75G -


Connect to remove the application from your PC.

3. 3.75G Connect Utility


3.1 Logging In to the Utility

Double-click the shortcut icon of the 3.75G-Connect utility on the


desktop to log in to the utility.

Note:
When you are required to enter the Personal Identification
Number (PIN) code, enter the correct PIN and click OK. If
you fail to enter the correct PIN or PIN Unblocking Key
(PUK) code, the network-related functions would be
unavailable.
The (U) SIM card is supplied by the service provider. For
more details, please contact your service provider.

3.2 GUI Introduction

The main menus of the terminal are displayed as follows:

Status Information Description


Network signal Indicates the signal strength of the network.
Network information Displays the Network Type (3G/2G), and
Operator of the current network.
Network connection The information of the network connection:
The network is connected.
The network is disconnected.

4. Internet Service
After finishing the network settings and the connection settings, you can
access the Internet via the utility.

Click to display the connection interface.


Uncheck the Auto set APN option and select a profile manually
from the profiles list and then click connect button to connect
internet.
Check the Auto set APN option and then click connect button,
to connect to internet.

Notes: Does Not Support [Auto set APN] in MAC system.

5. SMS Services

1. Click to display the SMS interface.


2. Select a message, the detail information will display.
3. Click the shortcut icons or right-click the selected message for the
following options:

NewCreate a new message.

EditEdit a draft message.

SendSend the message.

ReplyReply to the current message.

ForwardForward current message content to another person.

Save Number Enter create contact interface, input information


and save the number as a contact.

DeleteDelete message.

Delete AllDelete all message(s).

SearchSearch message.

Move or copy messageMove or copy message function.

6. Phonebook
The phonebook types include Local and (U) SIM card. You can manage
the local phonebook or the (U) SIM phonebook.

1. Click to display the phonebook interface.


2. Select a contact, the detail information will display.
3. Click Search icon to search contact(s).
4. Click the shortcut icons or right-click the selected contact for the
following options:

New ContactCreates a new contact.

Edit ContactEdits a contact.

Delete ContactDeletes Contact(s).

Remove from group Removes contact from current group and


this contact can be searched in local.

SendSends text message function.

ImportSupports Import/Export contact(s) function.

Export Selected Contacts Supports export selected contact(s)


function.
Export All Contacts: Supports export all contacts function.

Copy Selected to LocalCopies the selected contact(s) to local.

Copy Selected to SIM/USIM: Copies the selected contact(s) to


SIM/USIM.
5. Right-click Local or Group label for the following options.
New Group: Creates a new group.
Rename Group: Renames the selected group.
Delete Group: Deletes the selected group.
Send Text Message: Sends message to the selected group.

7.Voice Call Service

Click Call icon to display the call interface. You can dial or
answer the call.
You can dial a number to place the call.
You can answer the call if you receive an incoming call.
It also displays the history of calls (Received calls, Missed calls and
Dialed calls)

8.USSD Service

Click USSD icon to display USSD service interface.


Here you can add a service code, edit a service code and delete a
service code. Click the Send button to send a command.

9. Settings

Click Settings icon to display the different setting options


of software.

9.1 General

Choose Settings > General and you can set following options:
Launch on windows startup
Minimize window on startup
Set user data path

9.2 PIN Management

If a SIM/USIM card is used on the terminal, the Personal Identity


Number (PIN) code protects your card from unauthorized use. You can
modify the PIN code and enable/disable the PIN verification.

Note: The PIN code and PIN Unblocking Key (PUK) code are
provided along with the SIM/USIM card. For details, contact your
service provider.

Enabling/Disabling the PIN Verification


You can enable the PIN verification. If it is enabled, you need to verify
the PIN code when launching the Terminal Management again.
To enable: Choose Settings > PIN Management > PIN Enable.
To disable: Choose Settings > PIN Management > PIN Disable.

Modifying the PIN Code


1. Choose Settings > PIN Management > PIN Change.
2. Enter the current PIN code and the new PIN code.
3. Enter the new PIN code again.
4. Click OK to complete the modification.

Note: The PIN code should be a numeric string of 4~8 digits.

Verifying the PIN Code


When the PIN verification is enabled, you need to enter the correct PIN
code to use the network-related functions.
1. Choose Settings > PIN Management > PIN Check.
2. Enter the correct PIN code.
3. Click OK to complete the verification.

Note: If you enter the wrong PIN codes for a preset number of
times, the SIM/USIM card is locked and you cannot use it until you
enter the PUK code. The Terminal Management prompts you with
the remaining number of attempts for entering the PIN code or the
PUK code.

Unlocking the PIN


1. When the SIM/USIM card is locked, the PIN PUK dialog box
is displayed after you start the Terminal Management.
2. Enter the correct PUK code.
3. Enter the new PIN code.
4. Click OK to complete the modification.

9.3 Statistics
You can use the Statistics function to check the network traffic.
Choose Settings > Statistics. View the Statistics Information.

Note The statistical data of the traffic is only for your reference.
The actual traffic information is accounted on the basis of the traffic
data collected by the operator.

9.4 Text Message


Enter Settings > Text Message to set message parameters.

Show a notification when a new text message arrives.


Play a sound when a new text message arrives.
Sound file: You can set the incoming SMS ring.

New Message Save Mode: Save in local or Save on SIM/USIM.


SMSC: You can set the message center number.

9.5 Call Setting


Enter Settings > Call Setting to set call setting parameters.
Show a notification when a call arrives.
Play a sound when a call arrives.
Sound file: You can set the incoming call alert.

9.6 Profile Management

Enter the dial-up interface to display the connection profiles that are
available.

Creating a Profile
Click the New button to display the interface for adding a new
profile.
Enter APN and other parameters on the interface.
Click the Save button to add a profile to the profile list.

Editing a Profile
Select a profile in the list.
Click the Edit button to display the interface for editing the
parameters.
After setting the parameters, click the Save button to save the
changes.

Deleting a Profile
Select a profile in the list.
Click the Delete button and confirm the deletion operation.

Setting the Default Profile


Select a profile in the list.
Click the Set as default button to set the selected profile to be
the default one. After finishing the settings, you can use this
profile as the default profile to establish connection.

9.7 Network
Selecting network type
Choose the network type (i.e. either 3G only, 3G preferred
or 2 G only) and then click the Apply button

Registration mode
For auto registering, please choose Auto search and
register.
For manual registering, please choose Manual search and
register and refresh the network, after that click the
Register button.

9.8 Diagnostics

Device Info
Displays the info about: Product Name, Version, Application port,
IMEI, Company, URL and Language.

SIM/USIM
Displays the info about: PIN code status, Messages in SIM/USIM,
Contacts in SIM/USIM and SMSC.

Displays the current SIM operator information.

Network Settings
Displays the APN in use and Network selection mode.

11. FAQs

Following are the solutions to problems that may occur during the
installation and operation of the DIGISOL DG-BA3321 21.6Mbps
3.75G Broadband Adapter.

1. Cannot get connected to Internet.


Verify whether the 3.75G USB adapter is firmly inserted and the
LED is ON.
Verify whether the driver/software of the adapter is installed correctly.
Ensure that the correct profile is used to connect to Internet. Also
verify the 3G signal strength is appropriate.
Verify if SIM card is functional and working properly either into any
Cell phone or other dongle.
If still the issue persists then please contact DIGISOL TAC.

2. SIM card inserted in 3.75G dongle but there is no network display.


Verify if SIM card is working or not.
Verify whether the SIM card is inserted properly.
Uninstall and reinstall the utility.

3. The software takes time to register with 2G/3G network.


Kindly delete the SMS stored, through the utility.
