which make it more suitable in the schools of rural areas. This method facilitates more

traditional teaching there is more discipline in the class and does not require any

teaching methods. Class Size, class discussions become less effective with a class size
greater than 20 students. As the class size grows beyond this point, individual voices
become unheard and the opportunity for the class to get off topic increases. Skilled
teachers begin to notice this problem with fewer than 20 students, but with effective
class management you can hold your class together. Few Dominate, the class
conversation. This tendency benefits your strongest students, the individuals already
most familiar with the subject. Other students are able to relax into the background
and participate less often in the class discussion. This freedom leads to a relaxation of
their student responsibilities. They are free to assume that they can avoid studying,
escalates as the class size increases. Time Consuming, the nature of class discussion
makes the process very time consuming. The process of exploring a subject, while
keeping students on task in the discussion, requires far more time than classic lecture
complicated subject matter or to fully explore a daily objective. This forces you to
either abridge your lesson plan, leave a subject unfinished or resume the discussion
during another class period in which you had intended to discuss another matter.
Additionally, it is difficult to judge the necessary length for specific issues, making
designing lesson plans very challenging. Off Track, classroom discussions naturally
open avenues for discussion between instructors and students but also between
students and other students. While these discussions are the focus of the class, they
can turn toward areas you do not intend and even move entirely away from the point
valuable class time is lost and you risk losing your student's focus on the subject
matter.
From the last decade the use of high tech equipment in the educational
institutions has increased in a rapid rate. Now there are a lot of modern gadgets which
can be used for improving the teaching in the classroom. Use of LCD projector in the
seen mostly in the higher education institutions which have good infrastructure.
Teacher prepares the power point slides and which are displayed on the LCD screen
with the help of a projector. The projector can also be connected to a laptop/computer
for displaying the relevant videos of the subject on the projector. Use of interactive
whiteboards in the classroom is very interactive and provides the touch control of the
computer applications. Modern teaching methods create more interest among the
students with the help of interesting animations and videos. Research has shown that
teaching helps the students to understand the subject better and also helps students to
memorize the concept for longer time. With the help of modern teaching methods

Although many people still consider traditional universities as the best way to

Competition between colleagues can be very stimulating and students will only
benefit from it. Modern teaching method cannot offer human interaction.
Another disadvantage refers to the fact that modern teaching method cannot cope with
thousands of students that try to join discussions. Also, modern teaching method can
be difficult, if it is meant for disciplines that involve practice (Slavich & Zimbardo,

Measures
This study used a self-made questionnaire designed specifically for the study
in order to assess the students feedback between the two methods of teaching which
are traditional teaching method and modern teaching method, it is also used to
three parts. Part I assessed the demographic profile (age, gender, year level,
educational attainment and civil status) of the participants while Part II determined
the students feedback using Likert scale. The 20 items question in Part II objectively
stated to assess the students feedback by checking the preferred actual score through
Likert Scale which categorize as strongly agree, agree, strongly disagree, and
disagree. Strongly agree means the participants totally agrees to the statement;
Agree means the participants partially approves a point or part of the statement;
Strongly disagree means the participants did not completely believe in the
statement; Disagree means the participants have doubts about the statement. Part III
assessed the perception of the respondents regarding the two methods of teaching.
The questionnaire also subject for validity and reliability. We asked the group of
experts to check and validate the content of the questionnaire and to measure its
reliability using Cronbach Alpha method. Chronbach Alpha is the most commonly
used coefficient ranges from 0 to 1 with a higher coefficient indicating that the items

impact on students learning in accordance with gathered score in pre-test and post-

our respondents in evaluating the effectiveness of both teaching method, the group
made use of Chronbach Alpha with the acceptable range of 0 to 1. The result of
reliability was .949 indicating the tool is reliable. The group tabulated the data of the

This chapter focused on the results of the data gathered from the participants on
the settings of the study in order to determine the effectiveness of the traditional
teaching method the researcher includes the demographic profile of the participants in
terms of gender, age, civil status and educational attainment. As shown in a table
below most of the respondents are Female with the percentages of 83% while Male is
