AN ORDINANCE AMENDING REGULATION ORDINANCEA2011-796
"AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2011-458 ENTITLED
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING AND PENALIZING THE
INSTALLATION AND PUTTING UP OF "RESERVED PARKING FOR
CUSTOMERS ONLY" SIGNAGES IN ANY PUBLIC ROADS, DULY
ESTABLISHED PARKING SPACES FOR PUBLIC USE, AND OPEN
SPACE PROVIDED BY PRIVATE ESTABLISHMENTS IN THE CITY OF
ILOILO"

Sponsored by Councilor Plaridel C. Nava II and seconded by Councilors Lyndon V.

Acap, Rodel F. Agado and Sheen Marie S. Mabilog

WHEREAS, there is an urgent need to amend Regulation Ordinance 2011-796 Section 4,

Article II, to specifically provide exemptions for establishments which engage in high risk
business;

WHEREAS, such exemptions should be gtante'd to the City Mayor only in the interest of
public safety and security;

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of
Iloilo, that:

Section 1. Regulation Ordinance No. 2011-796 is hereby amended by changing the

following Section 4, Article II, to wit:

Section 4 Article II-The City Mayor, in the interest of public safety and security, may
grant exemption on any provision of this ordinance but exclusively for banking institutions,
pawnshops or jewelry shops and money changers only.

Provided however that such exempted business establishments shall remove all signages
and other markings after 5:00 o'clock in the afternoon.
