People may be right in their own eyes, but the Lord examines the

True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honour and long

The borrower is servant to the lender.

A youngsters heart is filled with foolishness, but physical discipline

poverty.
It is good to keep these proverbs in your heart and always ready on
your lips. This is being taught so that you may trust in the Lord.
Dont rob or exploit the poor and needy, for the Lord is their
defender.

much it costs. They dont mean when they say Eat and Drink
Dont waste your breath on fools, for they despise the wisest advice.

Dont fail to discipline your children. They wont die if you spank

Dont envy sinners, but always continue to fear the Lord. You will be
rewarded.
Listen and be wise. Keep your heart right.

judgement.
o PROVERBS 24:
A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense.
Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious
riches and valuables. (Virt)
Wise are mightier than the strong, and those with knowledge grow
stronger and stronger. So dont go to war without wise guidance;
victory depends on having many advisers. (W)
If you fail under pressure, your strength is too small.
Wisdom is sweet to your soul. If you find it, you will have a bright

Its Gods privilege to conceal things and the kings privilege to
discover them.
Dont demand an audience with the king or push for a place among
the great. Better to wait for an invitation to the head table than to
be sent away in public disgrace.
Dont be in a hurry to go to court just because youve seen
something. What if your neighbour deals you a shameful defeat?
When arguing, dont reveal another persons secret. You will be
accused of gossip and your reputation cannot be regained.
Timely advice is lovely.
To the one who listens, valid criticism is gold.
Dont back out of gifting someone after having promised it.
Patience can persuade a prince, soft speech can break bones.
Visiting your neighbours too often will wear out your welcome.
Lying about someone is as harmful as wounding them with an arrow,
axe or sword.
Do not put confidence in an unreliable person in times of trouble.
Singing happy songs to the heavy-hearted is like pouring vinegar in
a wound.
If your enemies are hungry, feed them. You will heap burning coals
of shame on them and the Lord will reward you.
Do not seek honours for yourself
A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls.

PROVERBS 26: (Chapter on Fools)
Honour is not for fools. Honouring them is a foolish thing to do.
An undeserved curse will not land on its intended victim.
Guide a fool with a rod to his back!
Dont answer the foolish arguments of fools lest you become as
foolish as they are.
Answer the foolish arguments of fools lest they become wise in their
own estimation.
There is more hope for fools than for those who think they are wise.
The lazy loves to sleep.
The Lazy consider themselves smarter than 7 wise counsellors.
Dont interfere in someone elses argument. That would be foolish.
Lying to a friend and then claiming it to be just a joke is deadly
damaging.
When gossip stops, quarrel disappears.
A quarrelsome person starts fights.
Rumours sink deep into ones heart.
Smooth words may hide a wicked heart.
People may cover their hatred with pleasant words or by being kind,
but theyre deceiving you.
If you roll a boulder down on others, it will crush you instead. If you

o PROVERBS 27:
Dont brag about tomorrow since you dont know what the day will
bring.
Let someone else praise you; not you yourself.
Jealousy is more dangerous than anger/wrath.
An open rebuke is better than hidden love.
A person who strays from home is like a bird that strays from its

The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and

Never abandon a friend either yours or your fathers. When
disaster strikes you wont have to ask your brother for assistance.
Its better to go to a neighbour than a brother who lives far away.

Moral rot in a nation topples its government. Wise and
knowledgeable leaders bring stability.
To reject the law is to praise the wicked; to obey the law is to fight
them.
Young people who obey the law are wise; those with wild friends
bring shame to their parents.
God detests the prayers of a person who ignores the law.
Better poor and honest than dishonest and rich.
The rich may think that they are wise, but a poor person with
discernment can see right through them.
People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess
and turn from them, they will receive mercy.
A wicked ruler is dangerous to the poor.
The blameless will be rescued from harm.
A hard worker has plenty of food, but a person who chases fantasies
