Job summary: This is a skilled position providing administrative support to the Human Resources Manager
associated with human resource functions of E&B Paving, Inc. This position requires a variety of office support
functions including, but not limited to, the following: typing, filing, data entry, copying, scanning, and assisting
employees with general HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Completion of pre-employment and annual reference checks, license checks and background checks for
applications; preparation and maintenance of various types of employee files, i.e. personnel, DOT, medical,
WC, etc.
Coordinate both company and DOT, with vendor, quarterly random drug and alcohol testing, working with
plant locations and other personnel. Ensure random pools are accurate and updated in a timely manner.
Respond to unemployment audits by providing accurate information with respect to hours worked and pay
received in a timely manner.
Aid with special projects and perform other duties as assigned by the Human Resource Manager.
Communicate with employees on any HR matters which are applicable to your duties.
Create job postings for inter-company as well as various websites i.e., Indeed, CareerBuilder, newspapers,
etc.
Track Workers Compensation injuries and work with Tobias to assist in finding light duty work.
Process new hire paperwork and set up new hires into human resources and payroll modules of accounting
program.
Enter all new hires on E-Verify and Indiana New Hire websites.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Familiarity with Viewpoint account software a
plus.
