water heaters and controls. Differentiate between portions of wiring that are
factory installed and portions that are to be field installed.
1.4.4 Maintenance Data: Submit maintenance data and parts lists for each type and
size of water heater, control, and accessory; including troubleshooting
maintenance guide. Include this data, product data, shop drawings, and wiring
diagrams in maintenance manual.
1.4.5 Certificates: Submit appropriate certificate of shop inspection and data report
as required by provisions of ASME Boiler and Pessure Vessel Code.
1.5.1 Handle water heaters and components carefully to prevent damage, breaking,
denting and scoring. Do not install damaged water heaters or components;
remove from site and replace with new.
1.5.2 Store water heaters and components in clean dry place. Protect from weather,
dirt, fumes, water, construction debris, and physical damage.
1.5.3 Comply with manufacturers rigging and installation instructions for unloading
water heaters, and moving units to final location for installation.
1.6 Warranty :
Contractor shall be responsible bo provide full warranty for five year operation
after PAC, complete in all respects including vessel, electronic elements &
controls etc. The warranty shall include parts and labour cost for the repair and
replacement of defected material or workmanship.
2.0 PRODUCTS
2.1 Materials
a) Hot water heater shall be horizontal type. Where specified these shall be
suitable for under sink installation. Vessel shall be glass lined steel.
Heating element shall be copper sheathed electric immersion type.
