regarding the site geology 2. Site Geology
Geological maps of the area suggest that the site is in an area of Tertiary sediments of the Brighton
Group. The site investigation confirmed this.

3. Regional Geology
The site is identified on the Geological Survey of Victoria Ringwood Sheet (1:63,360) as being
located within the Province of Silurian Anderson Creek Formation Siltstones and associated soil
profiles.

4. Geology
The Mineral Resources Tasmania Digital Geological Atlas 1:25,000 Series (Hobart Sheet) indicates
that the surface geology is Quaternary undifferentiated fluviatile and swamp deposits. The
underlying geological unit is likely to be Tertiary age, poorly sorted large boulder to pebble grade
deposits, with clasts predominantly of dolerite with traces to rarely dominate amounts of Parmeener
mudstone and other rocks within a clayey matrix.
