2017 NCAA Pool Instructions

Welcome to the 2017 edition of the NCAA Pool!! Last year we had 1,301 players and a First Prize of $ 4,570.00 !!
We are using the same format as last year. We are trying to distribute the brackets, receive all the entries and distribute
the results via email. The entry fee again this year is $20.00.
This is a PREPAID pool, so please pay your entry fee PROMPTLY if you have not already done so. Thanks

Brackets are due by 12:00 NOON EDT Thursday March 16, 2017.

The instructions are fairly simple:

1. Pick games by clicking on the pull-down box next to the game. Pick the team by selecting the correct two-letter
abbreviation for the team you pick. As you pick each early round game, the teams automatically populate as selections for
the following game(s). Please Double Check your entries. If you go back and change any picks, make sure subsequent
games are correctly reflected. The spreadsheet will change subsequent games that you had a changed team winning.

2. There are four "First Four" Play-in Games [P1, P2, P3, P4] in the East, Midwest and South Regions this year. They
will be held on 3/14 and 3/15 and feature: Mount St Mary's (19-15) vs. New Orleans (20-11) [P1], Providence (20-12)
vs. USC (24-9) [P2], NC Central (25-8) vs. UC Davis (22-12) [P3] and Kansas State (20-13) vs. Wake Forest (19-13)
[P4]. The winners will play Villanova (V), SMU (SM), Kansas (K) and Cincinnati (CI) respectively in the First Round. That
game reflects a P1, P2, P3 or P4 for the Play-In team. There are no picks for the Play-In games themselves.
The First Round Games of V vs. P1, SM vs. P2, K vs. P3 and CI vs. P4 will count 1 Point.

3. When you have selected all games, please fill in your Name (Last Name, First Name), Phone Number, and email
address for results.
If you're submitting multiple entries, please fill in the name plus the entry number (ex. - Smith, John #3).
Also, be sure and include your tiebreaker - Total number of Points scored in the Final Game.
Lastly, please put in the Name of the person to whom you have paid your entry fee! It will help with any PREPAID
issues!

4. Save the Workbook with a different file name, such as your name plus your entry number (example Smith John.xls - if
you submit multiple - examples are - Smith John #1.xls, Smith John #2, etc.). Please be sure the 2017 Bracket and
Summary Sheets are included!!

6. If you must FAX your entry, please fill it out completely, then print it out and FAX it to Blaise at (703) 533-1467.

Be sure to pick all games.

First Rd. Games = 1 Point, Second Rd. Games = 2 Points; Regional Semis = 4 Points; Region Finals = 6 Points; Semifinal Games = 8 Points, Final Game = 10 Points.
Entry Fee needs to be paid to Jamie Dowdall, Myron Harrington, Mitchell Lloyd, Robert Stone or Blaise Fanucchi by 12:00 NOON EDT Thursday March 16, 2017.
