1 Overview
Q: What is CMZ Plus?
A: Its an advanced online tool where you can get access to HPs Co-Marketing campaign assets.
The campaign material is in template form that allows you to add your brand next to HPs, as well as messages and calls
to action meant for the receivers of your marketing campaign.
The new functions of the CMZ Plus platform let you edit and launch the campaigns and also track responses for you.
We are putting the plus into building co-marketing campaigns with HP. Introducing the CMZ PLUS - the next evolution
of HP Co-Marketing Zone and your one-stop destination for accessing HP co-branded marketing campaign asset
templates.

CMZ PLUS allows you to quickly and easily create and run customized digital and print campaigns.

Q: How do I access the CMZ Plus?


A: There are 3 ways to access the CMZ Plus:
1. Using the CMZ Plus landing page: www.hpcomarketingzoneplus.com.
2. Using Partner First Portal (not valid for APJ and HP internal users). Once that you are logged in, click on Sales
& Marketing, then on Co-Marketing Zone Plus.
3. Using HP Sales Central. After logging in the Sales Central, click on Marketing central and then on Co-Marketing
Zone Plus.

Access for partners: Log in using your HP Passport credentials.

Access for HP employees: Log in using your HP employee credentials: digital badge, email computer and password,
simplified logon.

Q: Is my access to assets in CMZ Plus restricted?


A: Your access permissions are defined by your partner profile, providing access to assets & templates most relevant to
you.

Q: Why am I sometimes automatically sent to the login page?


A: For security reasons, you are automatically logged out by the system if you have not called up any new pages for a
longer time. Even if your browser may still display the same page, the next click refers you to the login page where you
need to enter your user name and password or click the single on sign-on link.

Q: Which browsers are supported by the CMZ Plus?


A: Chrome, Internet Explorer 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, Firefox ESR 17 and Mac Safari. Also, install the latest Adobe Flash Plugin and
delete cache and cookies from your browser.

Q: What languages does the CMZ Plus support?

A: The interface currently supports the following languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Japanese,
Korean and Chinese. More languages are being added. The marketing content is available in the following languages:
English, Spanish.

Q: How do I change the display language in CMZ Plus?


A: Upon first login, new users will be prompted to indicate their Time zone & language preferences as well as state & zip
code as optional information.
If you clear cookies or use a different system/browser, you may need to redefine this information in the My Account
section.

2 Searching for Assets


Q: How do I search for assets in the CMZ Plus?
A: There are 2 ways to search for an Asset:
On the left hand menu bar Click on Assets and then on Asset Library segment.
Click on the Campaign Assets tab by clicking on the Blue Tab Get Started.
The final step is to click on Search button and select the filters suitable for your needs. Please, see the
picture with the filters.

Q: How do I find the latest campaign materials?
A: On the Marketing Tab, click on Campaign Library section. The latest assets will be displayed first.

Q: According to which criteria are the search results displayed?


A: The search results will display the latest materials first.

Q: How does the search option exactly work?


A: Search looks at metadata (the information the system uses to describe an asset) and also can search through live text
within documents. For example, typing a product name, like Elitebook would return any results including those words.

Q: Is there an easy way to limit the search to ONLY product images?
A: Yes, use Advanced Search and select the File Formats filter to choose the desired category of file.

Q: How do I search for an asset in a specific language?


A: On the home page, click on Select the Language button and it will take you to a page which will give you all the
languages of different countries. Select the Country language suitable to you. Once the specified language is selected all
the Assets will be auto populated.

Q: Can I use special characters, such as Umlaut marks when searching for
an asset?
A: The search ignores Umlaut marks (, , ). They are treated as "a" or "o".

Q: Is there one consistent language? Can I enter search terms in English and
in other languages?
A: The user interface in CMZ Plus available in numerous languages. Search terms for all templates have been translated
in local languages so you are able to search assets in your own language. Local language keywords can also be entered
for files in the search.

Q: How do I fine-tune my keyword search?


A: The following options are available:
Search for parts of words only. The search results then contain all hits that include the part word in question
Search for multiple search terms by separating the terms in question with spaces or commas. A space or
comma corresponds to an AND operator
Use quotation marks to search for an exact string of characters. If you enter a string of characters in quotation
marks, only hits that contain exactly that string of characters are returned
Use the OR operator to search for synonyms or terms with similar meanings. The search results return all hits
with at least one of the search terms
To exclude a word from your search, place a minus sign (-) before the word that you want to exclude

Q: Can I find social media ready marketing materials ready to post on our
Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn?
A: Currently does not host social media ready materials. Please contact your partner support team for more information
about these.

Q: How do I search for an asset from a specific region?


A: Select the specified region from the search pop-up and then click on search button.

3 Customizing Assets
Q: How do I identify customizable assets?
A: All assets are customizable in CMZ Plus.

Q: How do I customize an asset?


A: You have the ability to edit and customize any of the selected asset as per your requirement on the portal only.

Q: How do I upload my logo?


A: Click on My account, then Edit. At the bottom of the page you will find the Upload button. Click on it an select the
logo from your personal device. If you uploaded your new logo, following the upload instructions, it replace your current
logo with the later version you uploaded.

Q: When customizing an asset, can I save my changes and finalize my edits


later?
A: Yes, CMZ Plus allows you to save assets that are work in progress for you to come back and finalize them later. All
you have to do is to click on save button and rename your file. When you will resume work, you will find the asset using
the search option and entering the name of the saved asset.

Q: I would like to use the JPEG I have just created. What would be the best
way to do this?
A: You will have to save the JPG files on your computer first before you use them.

Q: Can the variable text include special characters?


A: Spaces as well as a large number of special characters are supported. The only limitation here are line breaks (hard
and soft breaks) - they can lead to problems when defining texts as a variable.
Example: This sentence would not work when defined as a text variable.

Q: How can I save and re-access customized assets?


A: You will find the saved assets in the Asset Library section.

Q: How do I find and access my frequently used templates?


A: Go to the reports section and review all your activity, templates and assets used.

4 Downloading Assets
Q: How do I download an asset?
A: To download an asset, click on the tool sign below the template and select Download from pop-up options.

Q: Can I download multiple files at once?


A: No. You can only download Assets one by one.

Q: Is there a way to quality control my customized asset before downloading


it?
A: Yes, CMZ Plus will automatically run an inspection to quality control some basic elements, such as the size of the
logo, after which it marks the asset complete and ready for download.

Q: Do I have the option to download the assets in high-resolution format?


A: All Assets uploaded on the portal are in high-resolution format.

Q: Do customized assets require final approval?


A: No, no approval is required. After customization you may launch your campaign.

5 Uploading Assets
Q: Who can upload assets in CMZ Plus?
A: Only HP designated HP agencies and employees can upload assets in CMZ Plus.

Q: Why is my logo not visible on the template?


A: You would need to add your logo from the my account option and then the entire portal will be co-branded and you
will be able to see your logo as well.

Q: Does CMZ Plus allow me to share one or multiple assets with others?
A: You may download the asset on your personal device (PC, laptop, tablet, etc.) and share it.

6 Resource Materials
Q: What type of training and self-help resource materials are available for
CMZ Plus?
A: Besides this FAQ, benefit e-learning videos, a user guide and monthly virtual live training sessions.

Q: Where can I find resource materials for CMZ Plus?


A: They are all available from the CMZ Plus homepage.

7 Email campaigns
Q: After sending an email campaign, is the user behavior tracked (similar with
Google analytics)?
A: Yes, all assets are tracked and the CMZ Plus identifies which end user has accessed which asset.

Q: How are 'unsubscribes/blacklists' being managed?


A: End users that unsubscribes from an email blast is automatically removed from mailing list and hence they will not
receive any emails further.

Q: What safeguards are in place to protect the contact lists that the partner
loads up?
A: Each partner has his own unique login details, ZINFI & HP have no visibility on partner accounts.

Q: Why is the font in the test e-mail you received not the same everywhere?
A: The test e-mail is just to show the functionality and the fonts and links.

Q: Can you change this when you are editing the e-mail template?
A: The actual e-mail templates have designated fonts based on HP guidelines and all edits will be according to HP font.

8 Prospects
Q: Usually, a lead is an intention for further communication in a certain
timeframe. How can this be captured in the system?
A: All lead alerts are directly directed to the partners e-mail client and the partner can view the lead management
campaign. On the left hand shortcut, there is a section which shows opened and clicked links.

Q: What does the Reporting functionality provide for partners?
A: The Reporting functionality allows partners to measure the ROI and success of their campaigns. By using the Default
Reports tab, they will have access to four reports:

1. Partner Email Dashboard


Shows a spreadsheet of all emailings

2. Link Tracking Report


Shows a report about follow-up activities from links embedded into an emailing
E. g. how many persons did open the link, how many read it etc.

3. A/B Comparison
Shows a report with detailed activity information from the targeted audience IF it has been segmented into A,
B, C, etc. categories

4. EDM Link Tracking Details Report


Refers to eDMs only!

Q: How do I contact HP CMZ Plus support?
A: All the information related with the support may be found in Help section of CMZ Plus website. You can contact the
support team using:

Option 1: Contact Us Form


You can use the contact us form by filling out all your details and clicking on submit.
An email will be sent directly to our Help desk who then will forward it to the concerned department to fix the issue.

You can simply pick the phone up and dial out help desk number located in the Home Page, with your issue and
someone will have the issue fixed.

Option 3: Live Chat


You can click on the live chat option during working hours and chat with one of our technical persons directly who would
resolve the issue via chat.

Option 4: Email Us
Last but not the least, if you do not have access to a computer then via your phone simply email us your issue and we
will get back to you within the next 48 hours.
