The demand for nurses throughout the global has an increasing trend over the years, especially,
in the first world countries such as Australia, New Zealand, in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and
the United States of America. This demand has opened greater opportunities in the international
and global health scheme for nurses who are willing to work in aforementioned countries.
However, nurses should to be responsible enough to equip themselves with their understanding
of global health.
First, nurses in the international and global health must be culturally diverse or culturally
sensitive, they need to understand the cultural norms, practices, social activities of a certain race,
in return, they will be able to render efficient and competent nursing care.
Second, nurses must be collaborative enough to the health team of a certain hospital, they must
integrate themselves with the policies of a certain hospital they are into; these will make nurses
more
Last, broadening their knowledge is also a necessity for nurses who work in global market
because it will make them more competent and adaptive to changes that will occur.
In summary, these are the roles of nurses in international and global health scale.
With the increasing demand for nurses worldwide, it is also tantamount to say that nursing is in
line with global standards and makes it as a global profession which addresses the need to care
multiple cases of patients from different religious beliefs, custom , culture and upbringing, thus,
ensuring quality and efficient nursing care. Nurses can play a vital role more than just providing
care. They can be collaborative enough to shape or enhanced a certain policy and develop the
best scenarios in a certain hospital. These factors makes nursing a global profession.
