Theme:
Being truthful to yourself and others
Passage:
Psalm 15:2-5 Whoever walks without blame, doing what is right, speaking truth from the heart;
Who does not slander with his tongue, does no harm to a friend, never defames a neighbor; Who
disdains the wicked, but honors those who fear the Lord; Who keeps an oath despite the cost
lends no money at interest, accepts no bribe against the innocent Whoever acts like this shall
never be shaken. - New American Bible (Revised Edition) (NABRE)
Reflection:
As children of God, we are made his in the image and likeness of God, we are the children of
God. We should speak the truth always, and treat everyone the way that you would want to be
treated. That does not always happen, because our first parents Adam and Eve went against God
and ate from the Tree of Knowledge. That was the event of the Fall of mankind, because of this
event this is why humans sin. Now every time someone is born, we are born with original sin.
That is why we sin because of our first parents. If that event never occurred we would be perfect
in every way, shape, and form. Even though we are imperfect we are perfect in Gods eyes, and
that is why God made human beings the highpoint of creation. In court we swear on a Bible to
speak the truth and only the truth, and if you fail to do so you have committed perjury. You went
against God and failed to speak the truth. We should not be afraid to speak the truth even if it
may cost us something either little or small, we should only and always speak the truth. Humans
should not be afraid of the consequences of life, but we are. As humans, we are scared of failure
that is why we cheat in life or take short cuts. We do not want to accept the consequences that
come with the failure. Whoever steps up and accepts their consequences they will stay strong and
true to God and yourself.
D) Prayer:
Dear Lord, Help us to be strong like You,
Take us under Your wing and guide us in the right path,
So that we to may be like You.
Help us to love everyone,
Care for everyone,
And treat everyone as we would treat You.
Help us to learn from our failures and turn them into successes,
Raise us up so we to may follow in Your footsteps.
