Main Shaft Fixture Vestas & NEG Micon Rotor Yoke RePower MM92 & MM82 Tower Stacking Frames
Can be used on NM64c-72-82/1500 - Rotor yoke with two lifting points, one for each For sea transportation of tower sections: Sys-
NM72/1650 - V82 type of rotor tem for 66ton, 80ton & 100ton/tower section.
A main shaft fixture can be assembled by the internal turbine hoist without the need for an external
main crane, and without dismantling the rotor. The main crane capacity is significantly lower since it
eliminates the rotor which is commonly the heaviest lift. All fixtures have an ejector system that pushes
off the gearbox with up to 30 tons of force.

The crane is designed for all turbines with gearboxes up to 24ton and where the roof can be removed or
moved back without a mobile crane. Several cranes are operating in the US, and the Liftra Self-Hoisting Crane
has changed multiple major components for major players in the turbine industry.

LIFTRA 4TL SYSTEM
Allows for installation in higher wind speeds reducing total cost.
The Liftra Tagline System (4TL System) consists of 4 winches controlled from a remote. The control of the winches is com-
puted by an advanced control algorithm that ensures superior performance compared to traditional tagline systems.
TECHNOLOGY
The technology is based on orientation control in regards
to the actually angular position of the lifted turbine part.
A reference angle is selected on the remote control and
the turbine part is held in that particular angle with great
accuracy. This offers both benefits during installation and
uninstallation of wind turbine parts. The automated tagline
system is especially an advantage during blade installation/
uninstallation since the root end is held still while the blade
stud bolts are fitted into the hub. After release of the blade
the automated system will continuously keep the lifting
tool at selected reference angle to avoid it from swinging
back into the blade.

In case that an existing winch system is used, the tagline system can be seen as an intelligent control layer
that is implemented on top of the current winch system. In this case the overall performance of the system
will be affected by the speed of these winches. Given the right winch data, a simulation of the full winch
system can be made to evaluate the performance before real installation.

SERVICE
The Liftra Davit crane service concept is based on a modular LT1070-1 Davit Crane
Intergrated hoist. All mechanical parts, brake, motor, slip clutch and
design. The future service activities are thought into the design

is that only minor things will need to be fixed on site, since

hoist is dismantled for replacement. Hence, the Davit crane can be left fully functional, and a second trip
to fix the issue, is not needed. The defect hoist can then be returned to Liftra for Root Causes Analysis and
fixing of the issue.
